Fangio ranks number 1 in my opinion. Not only has he been able to push the car beyond the limits compared to any other F1 driver, but he is also the most stoic F1 champion. A humbleness he carries in the paddock is impossible to find in today's climate. He's the true representative of what a champion should be.
For 1/18 cars models, you could talk about the different brands (solido, maisto vs minichamps, autoart ) and resin vs die cast to establish the collection budget…
The Americans began to take safety seriously while F1 still thought guardrails were for poofs. Then Jackie Stewart found himself on a filthy concrete floor at Spa, waiting for an ambulance to show up. He had the clout to change the culture. Many drivers are still alive because of it.
There are many reasons behind this move. I think he might have already realised that he can't win any more championships (at least with Mercedes). Also, every driver wants to drive for Ferrari. And lastly, business. Lewis brings many sponsors to Ferrari.
