I don’t know. 🤷🏻♂️ The reason it’s plugged in because the glow plug’s don’t work. And the block heater work’s When it’s plugged in it starts really easy
Id like to see someone on youtube, pull apart the compressor head on the 302 so people could see a repair job or if the engine could be converted back to a regular. 302.
Hey bud… I just got one of those but been having lots of issues with it… just yesterday as soon as I start it the coolant reservoir starts overflowing and throwing the radiator water/coolant… any ideas why that could be?
I run the EMUSA HX35 billet wheel 54 MM Turbo on my probe GT at 30-35 psi and over a year strong of absolute abuse and launch control and it never dies. These cheap china holsets ain't bad.
@@davewhipple4815yeah somethings ate up then. Cam and lifters are dickered or she’s bounced a push rod out from valve float usually happens when guys down shift them and over rev them. I seen a truck 427 ventilate all 8 rods after a “seasonal worker” downshifted about 9 gears and skipped the seven between them...
I ran that same turbo on my commonrail with a 2g swap and 90hp injectors and a smarty tnt revo it handled everything I threw at it till I put on a s369 I now have that turbone on my ppumped 24v getting abused every day it’s the best 150$ I ever spent
I bought a salvaged Smith 100 unit from my recyclers this week. I'm missing my governor part you described...trying to find that. Very helpful...cool machines. Drop by my channel for the video.
Thanks so much for these uploads, love this so much especially the smoke and listening to it struggle. Looking forward to when it gets cold all the time. Love seeing more of this!
Please make cold starts of this thing daily. I love it! And maybe show us what you’re doing inside to get it started. With the throttle pedal and whatnot.
I added a push button switch on the dash to run the fuel pumps manually to refill the carb fuel bowls. Underhood temperatures and hot soak will evaporate the fuel from the fuel bowls. With a 1406 I had 275HP at the rear tires on my '85 F-250 4x4 with a 460 and T-19 manual transmission. MPG empty was about 10. I now have a AVS2 Off-Road Carburetor #1915 and love it. MPG increase to 11+ and throttle response when rock crawling is great. For a heavy truck the carb and engine is a high torque at low RPM performer. The whole engine is set up for low RPM torque. Max torque is at 2500 rpm which is highway cruising. With my cam and heads not much power beyond 4,000 rpm. Out of the box idle AFR is 13:1 and 600 rpm and I may tweak it later as the manual choke throttle cam needs adjusting. Light cruise is about 14+ and heavy footed is 12.
Yeah the engine is stock but I did some modifications to the p-pump to the fuel plate and the afc foot the delivery valve’s and injector’s are stock though and with this turbo it makes 25 psi of boost and pulling a trailer with a load it goes up to 28 psi. And now I have a egt gauge and here recently I pulled a gooseneck trailer and the truck did 1’200 degree’s egt’s.
Hi there man quick question..my 24 v cummins has a small leak right at the injection line at the nut and I took it off and cleaned sand it down a little and still leaks 5 and 6 injection line ..what else can I do to stop that leak I need teucj for work and can't find no answer bro plz help
The only thing that o can think of is make sure it’s not cross threaded on the cylinder head side of the injecton line’s and make sure the nut’s that tighten the line to the cylinder head is good. And make sure it’s on the injecton line is on the cross over tube. And my have to tweak the line a little bit to get it to line up.
@@matthewmattix yea I did all that and the nut goes in smooth all is good even on the crossover I hold the line right on the crossover and then snug the nut onto the head before fighting if down
