Yes. My script is basically an AutoHotkey menu, supplemented with an updated version of the script available @ github.com/kdalanon/ChatGPT-AutoHotkey-Utility.
I have a bit more info at my LinkedIn post about this video @ www.linkedin.com/posts/michaelbeijer_%3F%3F%3F%3F%3F-%3F%3F%3F%3F%3F%3F%3F%3F%3F%3F-%3F%3F%3F-activity-7210317838350233600-vMZa?
Thanks Stepan! It isn't very clear from my video, but my setup actually includes 3 screens: 2 large external monitors (side by side) plus my laptop's screen (below the right external monitor). To make this screencast, I recorded my entire main external monitor, plus the top bit of my laptop screen below it (using TechSmith Snagit). Hence the odd screen size/ratio. I wish they would sell computer screens with more vertical space, rather than this obsession with making everything wide.
@@MichaelBeijer No, I don't mean that it looks odd. I mean it looks great: you have the entire Studio Editor and the preview pane in one line and in one screen. I want to change my monitors (I use 3 of them too). What I want to know is the size and resolution in specific figures like 1920x1080 or 1768x992 or whatever'x'whatever...
@@stepankonev9891 Gotcha. My main monitor (the one with Trados Studio on it in my video) is this one: BenQ GW2765 27 inch 2560 x 1440 IPS panel see: www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/benq-gw2765 to the left of that, I also have one of these: Samsung SMS24A850 24 inch 1920x1200 www.samsung.com/us/business/support/owners/product/sa850-series-s24a850dw/ and below the BenQ I have my laptop screen, since I always typ on my laptop keyboard instead of an external keyboard since I love having a proper touchpad below my keyboard, but no one seems to make a decent external keyboard with a proper touchpad underneath the keyboard. ----- Switching to a 27 inch was one of the best things I ever did. Watch out though when buying a big external monitor that the resolution is not too high, since then all the text and buttons in Windows will be ridiculously small and unusable, which can be somewhat remedied be messing with scaling, but it's best to find the sweet spot between: large enough size + just enough resolution.
@@MichaelBeijer RE: "when buying a big external monitor that the resolution is not too high, since then all the text and buttons in Windows will be ridiculously small and unusable" This is exactly the issue I want to avoid but have no idea how. Now, with specific figures, I have a reference point for my choice. Thank you!
Note 2: Sorry, I probaby should have put the Word doc on my left monitor (instead of my bottom, smaller one), which would have made the video show better on wider screens.
Note: The terminology tool I'm using in Trados Studio shown in the video () is called,"RYSTUDIO Post-editing (MTPE) Package 2022" and can be found @ www.rycat.cn/products/postedit.htm.
Hi Michael, I'm a newbie at Cafetran. this looks clever, but once you've created the memory am I right in thinking you still have to manually click on each segment, or is there a way to auto-complete all the segments from the memory you have created?
Hi Ian, Try this: Translate > Insert all exact matches See e.g.: "Create TMX memory = You can create a TMX memory for offline use. The MT engine is queried for all project segments. Note: On a TMX is created, you can use Translate > Insert all exact matches to populate all empty target text segments with MT suggestions." (github.com/idimitriadis0/TheCafeTranFiles/wiki/2-Menu-and-Interface) HTH! Michael
@@ihdavies Can't help you there. It's a bit of a mystery sometimes how that bit works. I'm sure someone will know over @ cafetran.freshdesk.com/support/discussions
Hi thx for the video. is the issue of premium 13 who open the correction window only with approved nuance software is still in the 14 version ? this s*** make impossible the use of dragon, 13 / 14 and i'm blocked with the 12.5 version under win 10 :( thx.
***UPDATE:*** I just got a great tip from Thomas van Nellen (twitter.com/VanNellenTrans), who mentioned that you can change the line: "WinActivate, src.docx ; Change focus to my source document; enter name here" to "WinActivate, ahk_class OpusApp ; Change focus to any open Word document; no longer any need to enter name of specific file in this script" ***UPDATE:*** src: twitter.com/michaelbeijer/status/606280210225299456
It's a great little Alt-Tab replacement program called "VistaSwitcher" (yeah, the name is a little outdated by now). It's always one of the first things I install on any computer. See: www.ntwind.com/software/vistaswitcher.html
Dominique P. Ha ha, I'm still on Windows 7. I'm just using a hack to make it LOOK more like Windows 8. I tried Windows 8 for a while, but kept having problems with file permissions so went back to Windows 7 (64-bit of course), which I have been using happily ever since. Windows 7 64-bit is the best operating system I have ever used. Yes, it is also better than OS X, due to the larger amount of good software available on Windows. I'm going to go straight from Windows 7 to Windows 10, which I'm very excited about. I even ordered a cheapish Windows mobile yesterday (Nokia Lumia 735). Was curious to try Windows 8.1 (and then 10) on a mobile.
