not only oil then other things/repairs too because lifting with jack are not so safelly and you cannot leave several days cars on Jack stands ,youn can but metal will start to bent on some models especially if they start to root
You seem to be defying science by raising the container by it’s open end, instead of tipping it up from the bottom to allow the contents to slide forward and out! How did you reach both parts of the last ramp?
I bought one due to your video bro! I love this thing and i cannot not have this! Its a MUST! Servicing my car is so much easier now. Thanks for posting! 🤙🏼
I got the rhino ramps. That add 6.5 inches. I'm not sure if that's going to be enough to do an oil change on my 2010 camaro ss. Please let me know your thoughts
Woah! You need to learn how to feather that horsepower young man. Just kidding. Great video. I have a 2013 Camaro and ran into your same problem with my old steel ones I use on my 69 Camaro. Race Ramps makes an extender that reduces the approach angle. It stacks onto the lower ramp of the 56''-ers. It removes as you demonstrated with the lower ramp to allow you side clearance to get under the car with a creeper or the Race Ramp foldable foam pad. Part number is RR-EX-12 56" Xtender. Hey, I didn't see you chock the rear wheels - remember to do that. See the extenders used on Corvettes in other Race Ramp RU-vid Videos. Once again, thanks for the demo, keep America beautiful - Drive a Camaro!
Hey fellow Marylander. The ass of my Scat Pack Charger has the same issue. It gets dirty before the rest of the car. Thanks for the video, I'm considering getting of set of these ramps.
Yeah I didn't plan to overshoot like that but i figured I would include it in the video for people to see. Things may have went differently if I hadn't put the cinder blocks behind the ramps as a precaution
Did he shift into Park? Put on the emergency Brake? I didn't hear anything...... Did he chock the rear wheels? I used steel ramps for many years but had to add a longer ramp to them using 2 X 4s for our newer, lower cars. Until I learned about collapsing ramps and jack stands. Now I just step up 2 or 3 2 X 12s , depending on the car.. Feel much safer. I cringe whenever I think about what WE did under cars supported only by a bumper jack in the 50s.....thought we were immortal...then......Now I'm grateful when my feet touch the floor in the morning.....:)
The car is a 6 speed manual so when I turn the car off I leave it in gear. The emergency brake in the 6th gen Camaro is electronic so it’s hard to hear when turned on and off, but yes the emergency brake was used as well
Thanks for the video on these ramps. Looks like I will have to pass on them. My camaro has the splitter up front so it will most likely hit these ramps. Unless they have options for a longer ramp with less angle...
I actually sold the car about 6 months ago but i put about 8,000 miles on those wheels and tires and had no complaints. It improved the handling of the car and grip all while looking good.
I think the price changes throughout the year, and this was the best price i could find at the time. If you found them cheaper you should leave a link!
Next time position that camera on the side of the car so we can see the clearance while you go up the ramp , because that's the entire purpose of this video I think or it should be, also drive slow while going up that ramp damn it what's wrong with you
I'll be doing another video soon on my C6 Corvette that will have a better angle of the car/ramps and at a slower pace. And definitely don't go as fast as I did up the ramps (learn from my mistakes)
I bought this for my E92 M3 competition pkg and the car is bone stock. It grazed a slight bit enough to torn a tiny fiber debris deflector. I’d strongly suggest you get the rr-56 extender too. A good investment that will pay itself off 👍🏼
Yes i did take the measurements. Also, the black plastic flaps under the front bumper are okay to scrape, the body had more clearance than it looked like
I apologize for not having any film of the car launching and going down the track but my video guy canceled on me last minute. Hopefully next time ill have footage! Also my apologies for the ocassional Portrait-mode filming, im still learning how to video/vlog properly. Anyways, thanks for watching guys!
