I've been listening to you since the seventies. I used to watch you play at The Rusty Nail in Sunderland, MA before it burned down. You have never failed to bring a smile to my face and I thank you for enriching my life. Bless you.

I'm 65 years old and Ive been a fan of Taj Mahal since junior high school. Loved it back when he first added the horns of Howard Johnson's brass band.

This man was born with rhythm in his blood and bones, and he has cultivated that superb Deep South Blues Music. Absolute pleasure to listen to. My feet, hands and head have picked up the beat; hope I can keep up with him

Being unknown can happen with eclectic people sometimes. A band like Fishbone isn't as well known as they could be. Being eclectic can make it harder to fit you in a particular category so you may get overlooked. People like Sly Stone,Stevie Wonder and Earth Wind & Fire were able to become famous while being eclectic.

Thanks for uploading this. I remember seeing this brilliant performance in 1972 (PBS had so much great stuff) and specifically remember Taj's request at the end, "That's the banjo. It is my hope more of my younger brothers will pick that instrument up again and do a bit more to further the tradition." Glad you included that. Reclaiming what was brought from Africa.

And people think wearing they natural hair is a movement these days. It’s funny how history is just cycle of repetition hopefully it stick this time if not we’ll see it again

Taj is truly a never-ending well-spring of talent. Never did I think I'd hear a more soulful version of this song than Robert Johnson's... until I heard this one.
