Pull up a chair, get comfortable and stay a while at The Farmhouse Table. Let me introduce myself. My name is Amber. I have a wonderful husband, Joey that has been my hubby for almost 20 years. He was my high school crush! We also have two children, Jaize and Elly. We live on a beautiful farm that we absolutely cherish! The focus of my channel is to share, family traditions, cooking, grocery hauls and every day mom life. I believe that women should support and encourage one another so that we can individually lead a more loving and wholesome life. I have been inspired by many RU-vidrs and I hope that you find my channel as being a positive place to visit. I am always happy to hear your video suggestions or please, if you have a prayer request, I would love to pray for you. I really appreciate all of the love and support that my subscribers have shown. I love making videos! Many blessings as always! Amber❤️
Amber do you need to remove the Art Picture, before watching your TV ? I have never seen anything like that before I saw it on your Video. It is Beautiful !
That was the best part!!!!!! it is literally the best nap ever… I woke up and was wondering why there was a woman next to my bed… Then I realized that I wasn’t at home… Lol!🤣😆 It is was through an IV😊
Yes I had it done a few months ago I'm 69 and everything came out well I go back in 3 yrs but it's very different now last time I had only done I was awake 😅
It's not easy but, necessary. I have done Colonoscopy and my face also swelled. They found 14 polyps and no sign of cancer. This year I did Cologard. All clear. It's nice to have peace of mind. Get plenty of rest afterwards it is important to your body. Glad it's over for you. 🙏
Hi amber...i was going to have an endoscopy because of a hernia, and because i was having that my gastro doctor said that he would do a colonoscopy at the same time to be thorough. They found 5 polyps one being 20mm, they removed them. 4 days later i got the pathology results...i had cancer. 2 weeks later i had major surgery to remove most of my colon..an open right hemi collectomy. After the pathology came back they also found a Neuro endocrine tumour on my appendix. How lucky was i? My bowel will never be the same, but im here! Vigilance is the key, especially for my children who are all adults. My cancer marker test (cea) came back high just recently, so waiting on another test to see if i have anything active, so stressful. So grateful for the colonoscopy ❤ i wouldnt be here for my kids without it x
Amber Thank you , Thank you , Thank you for sharing your experience I’m 60 and I have done the color guard and it came back positive. I have to have an colonoscopy and I’m scared to pieces but watching your video put me at ease I am so grateful Again Thank You 🌼🌺🌹🌸🦋💐🪻
A friend of mine is having his first colonoscopy and endoscope next week. He is 63, smoker and heavy red meat eater. We wont mention race, but there is a higher percentage of AA men that have undiagnosed colon cancer. For me, I have had four, next one in 5 years. Highly recommend everyone get this done!
My younger sister and I had to start getting colonoscopies when our older sister passed away from cancer at age 45. It’s not a good getting prepped for it but the rest is simple. It’s good to take care of yourself.
You have a beautiful family. All the food looked delicious and I loved how you all pitched in to get your kitchen cleaned. Wishing Elly a belated happy birthday 🎉
Thank you for sharing this. It reminded me that I'm due for one so I'm going to make an appointment (I didn't realize it has been so long). I had one when I was 50 and I am 61 now! It's way past time!
Hi Amber- Yes, been there done that! Not fun, but absolutely necessary. The prep isn’t the most pleasant, but you do get to take a nice nap during the procedure. I’ve never experienced a puffy face before. The fatigue lasts a couple of days, but the worst is over. So proud of you for advocating for your health. Thank you for being honest & doing this for everyone. Take care sweet friend. 😊💕
Thank you so much for watching friend and always supporting our channel❤️ I do feel like it is necessary, but there is so much fear in having it done. Peace of mind outweighs the prep day for sure! Have an amazing night! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I hate getting IV’s. I’ve had so many surgeries that my veins are difficult to hit. They will roll. My last surgery two different people tried to put in the IV and they couldn’t. Ended up I had to have the IV put in my neck. That hurts. I’ve been putting off for at least 7 years my 4th back surgery and a shoulder replacement, but my shoulder has been really giving me problems. I may have to break down and get it done. I had rotator cuff surgery in 2009 and it tore again and it can’t be fixed so the reason for shoulder replacement. I’m also the worlds worst procrastinator 😂😂😂😂 I have a feeling you were up all night. I know I was the last one I had. I almost just took my pillow and blanket to the bathroom with me. I don’t think I had much of a break between the trips 😂😂😂😂
Thank you for doing this. I’m 64 and keep putting this off, fear and the same iv issue you had. It’s time to grow up and just do it! Thanks for tackling a not pleasant thing to talk about, you’re the best!
It's so important to take these things seriously! I had my first one at 35 and found out I have colitis. I wouldn't know without one. It's so important for overall health!
Please get a colonoscopy screening as soon as you are eligible to have one with your insurance. We lost my sister this past March to colon cancer. She was only 54 years old. Thank you for doing this video. By you forgoing some privacy, you are helping save lives. God bless you!
Okay Sister, now I’m gonna get in my own soapbox. ( My opinion is formed on the following information: I am retired RN, a cancer survivor, and the child and granddaughter of a women who lost their battles with Metastatic Breast Cancer). Remember it is my opinion, the importance of preventive screening cannot be stressed enough!! If you don’t take care of yourself for yourself do it for your family!! Hurray for you for caring for yourself. Another note, that prep is wicked!!
Proactive instead of reactive. I have a lot of medical issues. I get really tired of doctor appointments, procedures, meds, etc. that being said my husband always says proactive instead of reactive and it has helped me with some of these important maintenance things we need to do. Bless you for putting this out there. You 100% will help someone do this and save them. Keep it up!
Your nose and voice sounds like mine , but I have Covid!! My colonoscopy was last year, and the next day I had a ton of rectal bleeding then my nose wouldn’t stop went to ER and my platelets were down to 1 , I bled so much ! Took pre cancerous polyps out 10 of them . But two weeks prior I was diagnosed with triple positive invasive ductal carcinoma. I now have 2 chemos left . Yay so far I am surviving. I love your videos I started watching cause last year I was having rotar cuff surgery. So I found you cause of that and have been loving your videos since! Anyway watching from Rainier Oregon ❤
Wow! Thank you so much for your support! I will be praying for you friend. Prayers for an abundance of healing and strength. Thank you for sharing that with me❤️ God bless.
It certainly wasn’t the easiest thing I’ve ever done😆😂 I kept pretending before I had to guzzle another glass that I was dying of thirst in the desert… Lol!
You crack me up!!! I love you and your family !! There isn't enough women like you in the school systems for the kids!! You would be a great high school teacher!! And I have had 4 colonoscopys cause the Big C runs in my family in all parts of the body but colon is one of them!!! They have found a spot in the past but it was nothing dangerous thank God!! That nasty prep is the worst!! I have a Pyrex pie pan just like yours I love it!! Happy Birthday
Do people not realize how long some of these items sit in warehouses and stores before being purchased too. Stocking up in smart. Never know what’s gonna happen, inflation. Job loss. Health problems etc
