So as somebody who loves fanservice, "misogynistic" games with "cringy ecchi mechanics", do you recommend this game when it comes to the other parts of it? I don't know why you decided to review this game since you seem to hate fanservice so much.
I know this is an old review but seriously, lots to this review that was a little irksome to hear: -comment about your lord dying in the first mission of the campaign causing campaign to fail while the enemy lord dying doesn’t end battle: if an essential character died the campaign couldn’t continue?? This isn’t the case in sandbox, the non narrative mode. -comment about future missions of the moroia not being unlocked until beating the dracul and nosfernus mission despite having nothing to with each other: they quite literally do have stuff to do with eachother, the story would be spoiled if you skipped. - comments about units not being able to move past each other driving you insane: imo this is literally a feature that adds depth, a bonus of flying and ethereal units and spells that give ethereal is that they can move through units and walls. As well as the rocade ability to switch unit positions.
I've played it for about an hour so far. I'm playing on a PC. I like the concept, and I thought the opening credits animation was really well done. Where it falls down for me, though, is the game mechanics. The most annoying part for me was the walking. You've got a point and click interface. Just let the player click the screen where they want the character to go. How hard would that be? And the game seems weirdly focused on having you perform tedious acts like changing your clothes and turning the lights off to go to bed. Sure, that's what we all do in *real life* to go to bed, but in a game, it feels like needless tedium when you could just have a "Go to bed" dialogue option that puts your character to sleep with a fade to black. I think when you have a narrative-based game, you have to be extremely careful to focus like a laser on the narrative. Too often in Rainswept, I'm finding myself picking up wrenches or messing with boats. I'm going to keep at it, but it' not what I was hoping for so far.
Im assuming you were being sarcastic when you said not to sell kit anything. Lol. Otherwise where do you get your money to buy stuff? Can you recommend what stuff to never sell him?

I was thinking about grabbing this on game pass but I don't think it's for me honestly. Was just thinking about buying the full game cause the art style looks good and I thought they'd eventually get character developments, I'm guessing they don't unfortunately. Great review tho! Saved me $15 lol

Love this game and yes, me as well, I have almost all of Kairosoft Games. Some games i cant buy cause I live in Japan. But most games i love. Great video and tips. Good luck in your gamings😊🗾
To chain lamps, you need to place them within range of an area that has already been lit. i.e After you finish a quest for a bear, they light up their area. After, you can place a lamp within range and it will extend the light from there. Just keep placing lamps within range (denoted by the circle that appears when you go to place a lamp) and you'll create a chain. The same goes for the ancient lamps. If the chain goes dark, you probably just need to finish a quest for the bear who's area you started your chain from. Hope this helps!

I love these kinds of smaller indie RPG:s, looks nice. Downloaded the demo on Steam and I look forward to that review. More games with cats are always nice to see :)
We do, too! I'm more sure how long the campaign is as of yet, but there are side quests that serve to unlock craftable consumables. Agreed! I played Cat Quest 1 and 11 and Cattails and I don't believe there's enough cat-respresentation xD

There is a game coming out at some point "when the unicorns allow it" as they say on their Steam page. It's called Gori: Cuddly Carnage and is a long way from this cute art style and simple combat. Let me put it this way: The tags for the game are: violent, gore, horror, hack and slash, action, cute (and some more). Here's the description: "Want to slice creepy toys? On the surface level the game looks fun and cute and I appreciate that it has co-op! Sad to hear about the flaws though. I don't personally mind if the second player goes unmentioned (if I'm the secondary one that is) but I can imagine it won't sit well with others. Looking forward to the review later on!
Perhaps with a few updates and player feedback, the developers can fix these problems. They're not game breaking by any means, but just things we thought to mention as food for thought. I don't know why the co op thing bothered me that much... I guess because you can play the whole game in local co op so I figured my second player would be accounted for, rather than as a shadow following me around in the world. Eh. Stay tuned~!

Thank ya, thank ya! This is definitely a time sink. Especially if you want to get everything unlocked and built. There are a host of heroes to meet and I think I spent maybe 8 hours building a village I was happy with in the end. The names, btw, are all plays on existing adventurers/heroes xD Donkey Hottie (Don Quixote), Clown Stripe (Cloud Strife), etc. They make me giggle. Kairosoft tends to have some sort of geeky references in their games, which is part of their charm.
