I thought while playing the whole game: Why not just keep the same mask and keep exploring and doing whatever you want in the moment, instead of setting yourself down an unchangeable path set by others before you? After all, the choice of making no choice is the most independent one of them all.. Slightly dissapointed that wasn't an option. To just stay on the gliding forever.
@@iambrett333 Her “second gliding” is like a vacation after retiring. You permanently lose access to both your bike and gliding stone. Gliding is never meant to be seen as its own profession; rather the bridge between childhood and adulthood where you discover the world, yourself, and what you feel your purpose is. To glide forever is to remain a child forever, and never truly grow.
Something I really liked it that Sable has her own Mask preferences and it's not just a player choice thing. The Ibex and Scrapper mask she mentions as wanting to be them while all the other masks she questions if that's what she really wants. It's a really neat detail.

I picked the cartograph mask. It's ugly as fuck, but I feel like that's the most interesting life she was given. There's a whole planet to explore after all
