I show how to perform simple automotive upgrades and maintenance on a budget at home. Every now and then there's a video on motorcycle stuff or the occasional automotive event. Based in North Utah. IG @gear_jammer_garage
Just curious if ram mentioned anything about warranty stuff void? Also still have the setup?thinking about getting the same. MPG gain? Thanks I advance. Also will you keep this truck with all the etourqe stuff I have the same year and engine.
It seems like a pretty difficult job, I will have to review the lesson several times, I hope one day I will achieve it hahaha, thank you very much for sharing.
Because the truck didn't come with one originally. I also don't want to cut up the dash and I don't like the retro looking ones either. So I decided on this bluetooth amp and it's a DSP also. So it really fits well with what I was trying to do.
if i wanted to use gen 4 pulleys and belts for a carb engine do you think i can just leave out sensor on crank and use gev 5 chain and gears and use a gen v balancer on this gen 6?
Chevy had the perfect chance to make an access hole in the trunk back at the factory to make this job easier but we gotta do it the hard way, and that's no light tank either. thanks for the video
Looks great! I've had my 96 since 96, and went through a couple of repairs on the odometer for the same issue you had. I'm about to go through it again. Odometer comes in and out. This time I might try the repair myself. I noticed you mentioned that you installed a heat sink to dissipate the heat away from the resistors. How did you install that? What does it look like? Thanks a bunch.
There is a link to the part I used in the description. I'm not affiliated to the seller or anything, I just like to share my sources for the parts I used and where I get them from. You'll need to cut the old resistors out and solder the ends of the new part to the circuit board.
I hope someone has an answer for this. I have an 07 escalade ext like this. Drives fine but whenever I've been driving for a while and everything's warmed up. Only whenever I find myself at a complete stop or slow down to single digit numbers and then accelerate to get back up to speed, my trucks Trans "slip" I think. But it only does it if I don't put good enough pressure on the gas pedal. Im not talking like putting the gas pedal all the way down, just a little more than u typically would. It only does it if I'm lighty pressing on it taking off like an 18 wheeler u know. Was wondering if I could be its the transmission fluid needs changing or do I need a new clutch or bad filter?
Do you have a part # for that oil pan? I’m sorry for hitting you up with all these questions but your build is the most thorough I’ve seen and I’m not shy about admitting that I’m following your lead on a lot of it!
Yes. This engine was rebuilt in the past. It has a .040 over bore. The pistons are Sealed Power... don't know the part number just that they are .040 over and hypereutectic.
Very clear. This has awesome detail. Even showing control cables, grounds, and seal kit. Just the right pace. I love the detail where you show part numbers and sources. A lot of RU-vids don't do that. I took mine apart 5-6 years ago and just can't remember how it came apart. This helps me so much. I appreciate your great work! LMC should pay you to do these.
I can’t thank you enough for doing this series! My build will be nowhere near as meticulous as yours, but I wouldn’t have had the confidence to start at all if I hadn’t seen your work. Hearing that engine fire up is like angels singing, thanks again brother, amazing!
