I went to wing stop on W. Shaw Ave. in Fresno Ca. The goddam place was a JOKE!!! Oh the inside was furnished nice, but the place was run by a b!1chy skeleton crew of scruffy people. People were waiting forever on a “pick up” order!!! The manager was too passive and afraid of angering the clueless “so-called” cooks to get things rolling, and no one wanted to take the customers ORDERS!!! It was a scene right out of “Kitchen Nightmares” and to top it off, we were told that when we finally got our orders taken ( IF ), it would be AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTE WAIT!!! And this was at 10:30 pm!!! That location is going to die a very slow death. They don’t “run” that place, they just sort of “exist” it. SO I WENT ACROSS THE WAY TO “BUFFALO WILD WINGS” AND GOT SERVED!!!
ผมไม่รู้ด้วยซ้ำว่าคนเหล่านี้เป็นใคร บางทีผมอาจจะแก่แล้วก็ได้ ผมเป็นผู้ลี้ภัยชาวลาวที่มาอเมริกาเมื่อปลายเดือนพฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2522 จากนั้นผมก็สำเร็จการศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยมินนิโซตาในปี พ.ศ. 2527 (ศศ.บ.) แต่ส่วนที่แย่ที่สุดคือผมอยู่ใน ค่ายอบรมสั่งสอนทางการเมืองเป็นเวลา 2 ปี(political indoctrination camp) ก่อนที่ผมจะมีโอกาสหลบหนีมาประเทศไทยในปี 2521 ผมสังเกตเห็นว่าคนลาวจำนวนมากที่จบการศึกษาจากวิทยาลัย/มหาวิทยาลัยและพวกเขาไม่ได้มีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมของชาวลาวในอเมริกามากนัก ควรจะเป็นแบบที่คนอเมริกันส่วนใหญ่ทำ ในอเมริกา คุณสามารถทำให้ความฝันของคุณเป็นจริงได้ แต่คุณต้องทำ อย่างไร เพื่อให้ได้ความฝันของคุณ และมันก็ไม่ง่ายเช่นกัน. hey enjoy your days in America! and you probably don't know much about the other Lao people who are living in USA.
