Thanks a lot! These demos are all mixed, cause it would be a bit weird to show these samples just with raw drums etc haha, but the Slammers samples themselves are raw, just basically added on top of the mixed drums. So the only processing on them is that on the master bus
From Cali Oversized cabs to Contenders Round 1, which ones do you prefer? It seems the Contenders have more like a 3D effect? i dunno but they all sound great regardless! Thank you for this comparison!
@@Anrooox Thanks a lot! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I’d say my fav is the Zilla pack, then Contenders, then Goldstack and then finally Cali. Doesn’t mean the Cali’s bad haha, just suits my mixing/production style less than the other 3
@@ArsafesProductions Very interesting! I have the Cali´s and i believe its so far the best paid impulse responses i ever had, i may be missing out on the Zilla or Contender ones... Thanks a lot for your input
Ah, finally a tutorial that actually teaches you something rather than just showing off a finished mix without much explanation. This was actually very helpful since i personally find Toontrack-samples to lack power in hits and i have a hard time getting them to sit the way i want in the mix. Recently got into the GGD world, and although this might not correlate to your channel's content, would it be possible for you to do a tutorial on an entire kit mix? Not to sound like an absolute copycat here but i'm trying SO hard to achieve drum tones as close to " Samudra " as possible, and i'd DIE for an explanation on that! 😂
very awesome! just started doing a little more of these kind of thing on my tracks. It does make a huge difference. I still have a lot more to learn 🤘🤘
I'm really against the recent trend of keeping the audio interface gain low, I'd say keep it reasonable, just so that it doesnt clip, and compensate with the ampsim input gain if you need to 🙏
They sound phenomenal, considering buying them. How could I spent money on much worse IR from other famous companies?.... You worth more than 50 subscribers, keep going!
Damn, this sounds good. I'm already pretty fond of your personal IR's but to my liking, the stock IR's didn't disappoint either. Plexi style amps are a little harder to dial in than say High Gain amps in my opinion but this one as the title says, is perfect. Just the right amount of bite!
Thanks a lot mate! 🙏🏼 Actually I don’t use cabs for bass haha, I’m gonna make a detailed video on how I sculpt bass tones soon, so def check it when it’s out
I'm astonished by your upload pace lately 😂 Snowstorm Sounds so damn good, perfect blend of brightness and low end. I'll be sure to take the rest of them for a proper test run at some point! Absolutely love how you can fuse the metal oriented riffs in a more rock'y mix setting. Sounds so organic and pure. Good job on this one, mate!
Despite you having only 2 videos, I can confirm this channel will be a gem. Can you maybe share details or make tutorial of mixing these guitars in context? I’m interested in signal chain- EQ, compression etc. I’m too used to my own chain and each day I’m more convinced that it sounds like crap.
Sadly Ninja was too fuzzy in this competition and not up to par with the rest 😥 The other 4 sounded really good 👍 Perhaps Amped Roots should have been here instead of Ninja? 🤔 There's many other cool free amps too...
@@ArsafesProductions Welp, like they say: some people like the mama, some ppl like the dada 😀 I guess u have a character u go for, I respect more of the clarity and the chuggg 👌
I'm amazed how similar tone you get regardless of the amp. Is the the IR that makes them so similar or do you some EQ shaping for the final mix? Or maybe it's just in the fingers of the artists ;) You should make a video how you get the amps sound like they do it this one! 🎸🤘
Thanks a lot! Its the IR + i tweaked all the amps to my liking, so yeah, they are kiiinda in the same ballpark, at least EQ wise :) Oh and yeah, i'll definitely make a video about tweaking amps, so stay tuned! :D
oh yeah, and there is ofc some EQ going on in the mixing stage, but nothing drastic, just a bit of polishing, most of the work is done right in the ampsims (or none at all, like in NAM hahah, just picked the right model for me out of a bunch)
Killer video, mate! Shows very well that free doesn't necessarily mean bad. I'm slightly obsessed about how " Twangy " your tone sounds, and now more than ever, i'm convinced the secret to just that is in the IR 😂
Thanks a lot mate! Haha its def a mix of everything, buuut the main twang-maker is the pickup :D This IR wont do any harm though, so yeah, be sure to try it out!
@@ArsafesProductions Haha! Maaybe, still to this day i actually rely on the old IR you provided in onr of your older videos where you made a tone with some poulin and mercuriall stuff 🤣 I get kinda close when pairing it with a plexi-like amp in Overloud TH-U, buuut if it's the pickup, i guess i have to get myself one 😅 Will try this IR aswell, though!
@@ConexusPK The plexi def helps with twang haha! You'll find the Prestige from Amp Locker doing that thing on a fantastic level, so check it out, should get the twangs out :D
