No one on earth has revisited the moon since 1969 , nobody despite computer technology 100 x better , I heard that the math involved in a moon landing by humans is very very complex, is the reason China or Russia have not walked on the moon, but Musk want to occupy Mars? Not bloody likely, How America accomplished this in 69 I don’t know
It sounds like you had a very unique experience. I have a model 3 with more than 120 miles and works perfectly. The FSD has improved considerably since I purchased the car and battery and charging have never been an issue.
You're either massively unlucky, a BS rock star, well paid by someone, the car actually wasn't a Tesla, got the lemoniest lemon in all history, or your mental capabilities are very sadly lacking. Maybe all of the above. I've had my model 3 for three years and have not dealt with service because I never needed it. It's easy as pie to keep charged, FSD does NOT nag you after "ten seconds", it's usually 30 seconds and it only takes a small nudge of the wheel - and even that is now gone or didn't you notice. My phone key did lose the plot once and I had to re-pair it and it wasn't a problem because I have a key card in my wallet in case something happens to my phone. Other than that, ZERO probleems. Z.E.R.O. I suggest you stick with the bicycle, cars are plainly beyond you.
There are plenty of chargers available in the US now. What "aspect" are you referring to? If you run out of charge it's down to you - either you don't know what you are doing or you are too lazy to take the car and get it checked out. Teslas can be towed. You just put them in towing mode first. Any tow truck can tow them. It seems you got yourself in trouble because of a lack of knowledge.
That's why Tesla Model Y is the best selling car in the world with 6M soon to be 7M cars on the road, and why the crash testers rate them as the safest cars. Its you against the world and I'm sure the world is not lying. Not so sure about you though.
Tesla was found to be one of the most unreliable brands in America, according to Consumer Reports’ annual reliability report. Consumer Reports‘ annual reliability rankings have been released, and with data from 24 brands and over 300,000 vehicles, Tesla fell near the bottom (19/24) along with Mercedes-Benz, Jeep, Volkswagen, GMC, and Chevrolet. Electric vehicles overall also placed poorly, being the second least reliable category of vehicles. Hybrids/plugin hybrids, especially those from Toyota, were found to be the most reliable.
That may just be the issue. I've been a toyota guy for years hybrid, and prior a ford. I thought Tesla would make a nice transition into full electric and a bit more luxury. I was spoiled by the Toyota Prius.
Wow. The best selling EV in the world is Tesla. Now explain to me how this is possible if every Tesla owner is having the same experience as Mr. Dempsey? The plain fact is it is not possible. I've been a Tesla Model Y owner for 2 years now and my experience with the car, customer service, charging and everything else has been the best I've ever had. I've owned 9 other vehicles over the years and I can say without question, my best experience in a car has been in my Tesla. Has your dealership ever come out to your house to fix your car? No? Tesla does. Is it perfect? Of course not. Does it require some level of comfort with new technology? Absolutely. I have problems with the blanket generalizations made in this video. It implies that all Teslas are bad and should be avoided at all costs. I can't stand Elon Musk, but I love my car. What can I say? Anyway, those are my two cents.
It sounds like most people are not having the same experience as me. Appreciate hearing your opinion. Definitely alot to love about the car when driveable.
Just know that if we don't support American innovative companies like Tesla to get better, we will be buying from other countries like China. We should then blame ourselves and not complain about Chinese products taking over.
This is a sentiment that needs to be supported wholeheartedly. I agree with you. Unfortunately Tesla is not a brand I'll be able to continue to support until they do get better. Which may take a good deal of time.
Good stuff, thanks. Teslas are rapidly depreciating due to above, but mostly because battery warranty is only 100,000-120,000 miles, and new battery costs $20,000 installed. Battery warranty needs to be double what it is to protect buyers of this new tech.
Absolutely. Alot of love in the comments for these vehicles, but I think I'd have trouble convincing anyone to buy the car from me at any price. Appreciate you weighing in
You were on the phone with them for 2 hours then "then turned your head for a few seconds" and two minutes later they hung up on you. That one is on you. Somehow you wandered off and after two minutes of trying to get you to respond they hang up and you blame them? C'mon son.
This is from the first reason "not to buy a Tesla" to the last one a string of liesI I can say that because I have owned a Tesla for 5 years and 100'000+ miles, and never ever have I encountered the problems this guy says he has encountered. The Tesla charging network is simply superb... head and shoulders above any competition! Tesla's range indication, while you are driving, is always bloody precise! Never ever does the battery unexpectedly "dies" only you. My experience with Tesla service, which was admittedly shaky in my first ca. 2 years of ownership, has now become first class. Etc, etc, etc... just a string of lies! It is either of two things: - This guy only pretends he owned a Tesla, - Or this guy went to the extent of buying a Tesla only as an alibi to strengthen his hate and FUD. Others are doing it, like MacMaster and his Taycan, which he bought (or rather leased I was told), only to say shit on it... and then bought another EV to do it all over again, as EV-hate translates into clicks and money! Not everything is perfect in Tesla's world, so you could have commented on the product or the company's weaknesses. But no! You just lied on many of its great strengths. Shame, shame on you!
I actually don't mind the charging aspect of using supercharger. I just wish the range on the vehicle was remotely accurate or there were better safety procautions when it is inaccurate.
Hahaha, got me... I watched the whole 7:24. The most unlucky guy ever, I suppose. Doesn't even sound like he owns a Tesla based on my experiences. I have lots of thoughts, like which car exactly has sold a few years ago for $75,000. Not 3 or Y, certainly not S or X, an X is shown, but.... What was he double charged for?? I've never been charged for an inquiry, let alone double charged. Anyway, good one bro, you will get some clicks, hahaha.
Its a 2021 Tesla Model 3 performance with FSD. I'm candidly shocked at the comments of this video. Was definitely expecting more people to be having the same issues. I suppose I truly am unlucky when it came to the Tesla experience.
@@livefreewithjd Hey, I get it. I had a Ford Explorer Sport that we had to replace 4 sets of Turbochargers to the tune of $5,000. Some cars are lemons. 6 years in and out of warranty we filed a lemon law claim with Ford and they had to repurchase the car. I know explorer owners that love their vehicle. My experience didn't necessarily represent everyone's experience.
Sorry about your experience. I have had a 2020 Model 3 AWD since December 2019 and have had absolutely no problems. My wife just leased a 2024 Model Y AWD. We couldn't be more pleased with these vehicles. I would say that if you don't have home charging, don't even consider purchasing an EV. As for road trip supercharging, we have had no problems at all. Our longest road trip was from Cincinnati to Houston, TX, and again - no problems. We certainly don't miss weekly trips to the gas station or service for belts, hoses, brakes, oil changes, etc. No question that the build quality of the 2024 Model Y is vastly improved over my 2020 Model 3, but I'm still very pleased with my car. I would say that you may want to reconsider a new Tesla. If not, an ICE is perfectly fine for those who are OK with the hassle of servicing, etc.
Home charger is a luxury that many do not have. Enclosed garage is another luxury that some home owners do not have. To mandate that every else must buy EV imposes inconvenience and cost. Yes, cost. Third party chargers are run by for profit corporations who charge about 50% more for electricity. Stop mandate and restore consumer free choice.
Why would it be impossible to tow??? a lot of electric cars have a tow mode built into them and if Tesla doesn't you could just put it on a dolly and tow away.
Pretty much everything mentioned is totally opposite to my experience. It's possible this guy has a lemon, which is not good of course, but extrapolating from "my car is bad" to "all cars are bad" is absurd, and would apply to EVERY car maker world-wide. As for charging being bad, that's just plain nonsense. The car has EVERY charger in the nav system, can tell you the price at each charger, free stalls, and will drive you there and prepare the car for fast charging. At the chargers there is no hassle with cards or pressing buttons, you drive up, plug in, and grab a coffee. the other claims here are equally absurd.
I have a 2024 Model S. I was worried I'd get one with panel gaps and other fit and finish issues because of all the bad talk about Tesla build quality. My car was flawless upon delivery. I've had no issues. If you paid for FSD that's your main problem, Id feel ripped off too if I paid for FSD, I prefer to drive my car myself. Most awesome car I've owned in my 68 years. Oh, also don't forget about 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, or 1.9 in the Plaid. Let's see you do that in your Honda Civic. It never get's old.
I've had FSD for more than a year and I love it (for the most part). It has its moments but 95% of the time it drives flawlessly. And with OTA updates it gets better all the time. Is it worth the $10K I paid for it? Hard to say, but it sure is nice to have.
The 0-60 feature has to be one of my favorite parts of the car. The smooth acceleration is incredible. Definitely alot of redeeming car qualities. Just wish the car was more reliable so I didn't feel like I was gambling my way to destinations.
@@msw7021 I agree, depreciation is scary fast. It was the only factor that made me think twice about buying the S. But what high end luxury cars value doesnt sink like a stone?
Interesting..... Sounds like a lot of BS.. I have over 20K on my car and :NEVER" had a problem. no phantom drain, never stop or mysteriously quit.. NO ISSUES.
Either you are lying, or you don't know how to use the car. I have had a Model Y for 18 months, and it has been the best driving experience i have ever had, including in a Michigan winter. I have had not even one of the issues you brought up so far. That is why I think you are lying. And WHO goes out in a Tesla without having your backup key card? Like I said, you don't follow standard operating procedure. And if you research the engineering of the car, the cars components are FAR ahead of any competition in the EV universe. You, my friend, are fake news.
In my opinion all of this doesn't seem true! Me and my family have had a Tesla and we had to schedule an appointment for Tesla service and it only took 10 minutes to find an opening, when we arrived there they gave us a loner model 3 for 4 days since they were backed up. I would say the car is great and for where I live at night the car charges for free. The only inconvenience I've had is the learning curve when driving the car, since everything is on the touch screen and there are no buttons it's been a little troubling trying to find everything that I wanted to do with the car. But I guess everyone will have different views on different stuff.
Using Voice Commands drastically minimizes the need to interact with the touch screen. You can probably find many videos about voice commands on RU-vid.
