Hi Schizonoise, thanks for stopping by! The music is a piece written by Fred Carlson and played by Fred and Suzy (me) on instruments we created and built,,,,,the Sympitar and Suzalyne (a guitar and 5 stringed fiddle that both have lots of extra sympathetic strings).

@@suzynorris Yes, lets! I'll record a favorite tune on my button box. Please remind me, yours is a G/C? Does it matter which key I choose? My favorite button box is A/D and I've loaned my G/C to a neighbor who has caught box fever and comes to play at my house every week. I wish you could do that too!
My button box is one from you, a G/C. I've never tried an A/D but now you've got me curious! Boy do I wish we lived down the street from each other,,,I miss you! I'd LOVE to learn some of your fav tunes. I found this ancient tape the other day from you and Rick, which has some great tunes on it. Thanks for posting this wonderful interpretation, you two. I'm preparing to sing it in church next month and the higher speed bluegrass and choral versions don't reach the tone of this spiritual the way you do. Nice harmonies too.
