Yeah the market in our area is crazy...we bought two years ago at $140, went to sell and listed at $160 and inside 24 hours had three offers over $170, sold for $177. Can't imagine trying to buy...we are retired and going fulltime RVing for a few years so we dont have to turned around and buy something
Yes! My Dad did this with me. I was only home for a few months before I got my first salaried job, but that money was given when I moved and needed a deposit for my new apartment.
The thought is that they would get a job and then from that whatever amount is reasonable...doesn't have to be $250 could be less. More so the idea of helping them save and getting them in the mindset to plan for the future. Put the money collected into an interest baring account and that's a little more on top they have at the end.
