I plan on doing the same thing but I did it a tad easier I got the leather wrapped wheel off of a newer and higher trim level car so I already had the audio controls and the harness, but since my car did not have the manual shift option that the later cars had this wheel had the shifter buttons on the left pod with the cruise controls. I simply plan on removing my left pod from my old wheel and installing them onto the donor wheel.
Unfortunately that second sticker that you're pointing to did not have the door code for my Lincoln MKS. I slid my cell phone in that area to take pictures of both stickers and I've tried every five digit number that are on them and none will open my door. Any other ideas? Thanks, Greg
No I never did fi d any code that works. It's funny I have the workshop manual that I purchased online last year just to have just in case I or mechanic needs to troubleshoot this car in the future. I've been looking out for that manual, which was like to dictionary size and now I can't find it :( I'm ready to stop by the service desk at my dealer and ask what they would charge me to retrieve it.. I may also get a second key made and programmed I hear that cost about $380. NOW, if you have a second set of key fobs you can pull code out yourself. There's RU-vid videos on that.
