I just used fixodent for the first time, and I have a devil of a time getting it off my gums and off my denture. How exactly do you get that goopy stuff off
I had a simple bridge consisting of 3 teeth. Which served me well for 20 years with no problems whatsoever. Due to financial constraints my only option was dentures to replace the now broken bridge. If I ever get my hands the guy who invented dentures. And sold them as a clever idea, he's going to need a full new set himself
Warm salty water -- if you can't get to a drugstore to buy bottled saline solution, what's the proportion of salt to water to make DIY saline solution at home?
Does Fixodent adhesive cream still come in the ' FREE' formula, instead of all the other dyed and tinted red formulas? I prefer the "FREE" formula over all the others. Let me know how I can obtain a case of the free formula. ASAP
Sorry for the late reply but you swish the warm water around in your mouth so it gets behind the dentures and loosens them, as for tea and coffee they are safe to drink
Lots of people on here crying about this and that, I have never had a problem with fixodent adhesive, I store my tube in a draw, no hard bits or blockages but then I line the denture all the way around and wiggle the denture around while applying light pressure until it feels comfortable, I have never ever had a problem with this adhesive.
After removing your denture clean the best you can ,then, have a hot drink like tea as a example doing this will desolve you adhesive left in your mouth .it works very well for me .
The best way I have found is use DRY paper towels or kliness waded into a ball, NOT ROLLED but waded so it has a lot of creases and crevises and kinda use a rolling motion with it up in the roof of my mouth. Pinch hold what I can between Paper and it helps get it the sticky plastic glue off the roof of my mouth and my gums. I also found that drinking really cold water or rincing with real cold water seems to make the glue a little firmer/ harder and it mdoesnt streatch as much when trying to remove it. Hot water seems to make the glue streatch more and harder to get off for me. I found the dryer the paper is that I use the better it works rolling against the sticky stuff the better it sticks to the paper towel or napkin etc. It does take a few times and a few towels/ pieces of paper towls not the whole sheet but maybe about 1/4 to 1/2 a sheet at a time.to get it but its the best way I have found.
Was badly struggling to remove my upper denture which I just got. Saw this video and removed it without difficulty. I am amazed by how helpful this simple video was when I needed guidance at around midnight. A heartfelt thankyou.
nothing holds those bottoms down I've used fixodent on my tops for 35 years and it's always worked but not on my bottoms I don't think cement would hold those suckers down (please don't use cement it was just an example)
Appling it is not the issue. Getting if off is for me I do not wear my teeth unless going some where due to the fact getting it off the roof of my mouth is so hard.
I just got mine and the first time using this this same thing happened to me. It upset me so bad because I thought I did something wrong. I was freaking myself out. I wear them at home because they still fit well but I won’t use the adhesive unless I go somewhere
I'm not a pro but yesterday I used regular tooth paste and warm water and regular toothbrush only on my gums and roof of my mouth it took a couple minutes but it took the stuff off the gums and roof of my mouth also followed by mouth wash they said mouth wash has Alcohol in it and that loses the stuff as well .But that's just an idea
@@tamarahornyak5744 I swill mine with warm water, remove with a rocking motion,Clean the adhesive off with a soft brush n put em in water with a cleaning pill (effervescent) READY FOR SAME AGAIN NEXT DAY!😀
Steamin' Hot water ta get em out & Usin' a wet wash cloth is tha bestestestest way ta get it off my gums... Then mouthwash & toothpaste ta make sure I got it all!!! Good lukk guys!!!
I had new dentures this year, a full top and a partial bottom. They are comfortable to wear but have to be fixed in. I've tried a few fixatives and the one I prefer is Fixodent Original. However, you have to leave it at least half an hour before eating or drinking to ensure it is set. I'm fine then, and would be all of the day, unless I eat or drink anything warm or hot, which seems to soften the fixative and loosens the teeth. I can't eat much that requires much chewing, meat or any steak is out unfortunately, so at present I'm stuck with relatively soft food or anything that doesn't require much chewing. Also cleaning the fixative out of your mouth is a pain. I couldn't brush it out as one of the videos, that would make me sore. Does anyone know of any other fixative that may be any better?
Thank you.....very helpful.....got immediate s yesterday went back today he removed......PAIN.....bad......just one place.....so kind of anxious about having to take them out tonight.....he took them out with finger on each side and pull down from there?????? All i knows......it hurt
Actually my dentist says take the 2 fingers grab from the back side releases the suction and for new denture wearers keeps from rubbing sore spots worked for me still do it
I also have to use it four to five times a day and I have tried everything except the powder so if someone has used the powder can you please let me know how well that works
Vladimir Lem, NO. Emphatically. NO. Your gums need to breathe. If you put superglue in your dentures, you won't be able to remove them and bacteria would build up on them making you extremely sick. So. Again. NO!
