@FlatBrokeAdventures yeah love the 450mt, I've only got 200k's on it at the moment. I picked it up in the middle of July. I don't use it as a commuter only weekend bashes.
@@andrewdouglas1737 I've now done 1200km on mine. I only do weekend bashes as well. I got mine late June. 22nd I think. I took it to Tamworth for the 1st service which was a nice ride, about 160km each way plus I did a detour on the way home which put a few extra k's on it.
Beautiful country there for sure. Looks like you are enjoying that new bike... I am hoping they release it in the US this fall and I can get one for next season here... good to know it is Wallaby proof as well... :)

It had it's first service last week and I haven't ridden it since but I may get out on it this Saturday afternoon or Sunday definitely. This was the 1st time I've been in this national park but I will be back for sure. This bike seems to scare the wallabies away but that 1st one was a close call. I thought I was turning it into a speed hump. I think you will love the 450MT there are a few 800MT owners who now have both saying that they are going to sell their 800 and keep the 450. A comparison of the 2 bikes would be a great video for your channel. Cheers Jim.
@@crj7218 Too big and too heavy. Why do you need 100 horse power? The battle is fo r less kilograms , not for more power. There are plenty of expensive hogs on the market.

You're welcome mate. I agree I could have done things better. I was thinking this when doing the job and filming. I always say why pay someone to do a job that you can do yourself, then I wouldn't have been able to make this video. Plus it was removing 1 bolt right oh well 2 bolts in the end. How hard can that be?
@@vplph I have a use a decent road bike helmet I just need/want to get an adventure bike helmet. It's illegal to ride a bike without a helmet here in Australia
@@FlatBrokeAdventures in 15 years I had two crashes. Both under 5 kph , but each time the head touched the pavement, lightly but happily 🥴. Your 450 is a really nice bike , really tempting . Got a 950 adventure but it becomes to fragile to ride often. Also that thing is a real weapon out of my league . This 450 might be the ideal compromise. Hope you keep us updated on the experience . So far I'm loving the bike and I've only done about 1200km. I hope to take it out again on Sunday. I do need to put new tyres on the bike but I will wait a little while until I have some more money to spare.

@@user-fg7jk9cq1b No I haven't done it yet I was going to do it over the last couple of day but kept forgetting to do it. I believe its as easy to do. You just connect the bike to you phone via the app and find the update and hit download, then it downloads and installs it for you. I've heard they did a pretty good job with it.
@@FlatBrokeAdventures Yes. One owner I chatted with said he never really thought it an issue until he got the update and now realises just how much better it is now.
Yes the front forks can be lowered but I've lowered the rear by 20mm. I made a video of me doing it. I can still lower the front if I want to. The only thing now is that the side stand is almost to long so if I lower the forks then I'll have to cut the side stand and shorten that
Please delete this youtube video, if somebody watches your tutorial he is going to do something to himself, i would never in my life ride a bike after your "tutorial" you tighten the bolts so hard that they are going to explode when they get heat from the engine... USE A MECHANIC!!!!!
This is not a tutorial, I'm simply showing how I did mine. It's intended to show others what to do and what not to do by showing any issues that I come across.
I don't know how tall it is I haven't measured it. It looks about 150mm taller than stock., so that would make it about 450mm. I ordered it from CF Moto Australia website.
@@FlatBrokeAdventures Would you mind measuring the height difference? Just the difference from top mounting holes would do, or measure the difference via the centerline..
Thanks mate. Yes it's coming along. I'm fitting the parts as they arrive from CF Moto. I still have to order a few bits n pieces like bark busters and I'll fit a 15 tooth from gear cog to bring the rpm down a little. 5800rpm at 100kph is a tad too much for my liking.
If I'd just removed the 2 bolts at first it would have been easier. Instead of trying to only take out 1 bolt on the shock to get the job done. I could have also used another method to hold the bike up off the ground instead of using a ratchet strap to lift it.

I have accessories waiting, including a tall windscreen, two months before these hit the states... And should have it paid off before my dealer even has one to give me...
How much longer do you have to wait? I spent about $1250 Aussie on extras and there's more to order yet and I still haven't received what I ordered about 8 weeks ago
Keep them coming, waiting for my 450 to be delivered so I am living vicariously through RU-vid at the moment. The screen looks quite a lot taller then the stock.
Yes this screen is a lot larger than stock. It is the factory large screen. It works very well at protecting the ride from wind and will be a great addition for long faster rides. On more serious off road riding it may be better to keep the small screen. At least now I have the option depending on what typre of riding I'm planning to do.
Nice! The more I see these bikes in action the more impressed I am. Rode with Bazz today on some very slippery tracks and it did great. You near Muswellbrook? I did my apprenticeship at Bayswater and Liddell Power Stations.

But it would have put bike over the 1000km for 1st service. Not a deal breaker but I want to get the shitty breakin oil out of the engine asap. I only have about 180km to go
Great job Flat Broke bloke! Personally, i would've fitted all the bolts & brackets loose but not super loose & make dure the alignment is set. Tighten the side ones before the centre ones to mske sure there is movement inwards to the centre. Still, a great job ready for them hills & valleys! Cheers
No I don't I didn't think to weigh them, but they are pretty light. I'd say maybe 3kg if that. I tried to find the weight but the CF Moto website doesn't say. There's next to no info on there for buyers.
@@eskerinola5845 The bikes come without crash bars which are then either fitted by the dealer or sent to you and you fit them. CF Moto have only stated a dry weight of 175kg. My registration papers say it's tare weight is 185kg. I believe someone on RU-vid had scales and weight his bike at 195 or 196kg. I've added luggage racks , upper crash bars and a taller screen with lower crash bars, bash plate, centre stand and a couple of other small things still to come. So mine might end up at 203kg when done.
@@FlatBrokeAdventures Yours is the first time that I come across a real-world weight of the 450 MT, and it may demystify a lot of the BS that one can read. If this is the case, this bike's weight is compatible with other Chinese bikes which look different but may be very similar, like the Macbor 500 and Voge 525. Thank you.
These crash bars are actually quite light and didn't at much weight to the bike at all. I can't tell the difference with the on or off the bike. They are the to protect the fairings and tank when I fall off.
