I have been collecting Pinball Machine and Arcade for most of my life. It all started with my first Pinball Machine "Lucky Seven" I received in Christmas of 1980 and my Second Pinball "Black Knight" in 1982. I spent most of my childhood in the Arcades or playing my Atari 2600. I started to build my collection in 1988 and by 2006 I had a room built to complete my home arcade. My channel showcases a tour of my home arcade and spotlight some of the games in my collection.
One of my Favorite machines! Thank you for this video! Unfortunately, there's no Black Rose machines in my state. At least that what Pinball maps says..
Awesome game and story to go with this particular one. Looks extra awesome between Black Knight and Firepower. Dream lineup for me and I’m sure others.
This was my all-time favorite pinball game. I came across Fireball at the Balboa Island Pavillion, long after my pinball days had past. But I found myself playing Fireball at every opportunity I had.
I remember this pinball game at our local skating rink back when I was a child back in the 1980s. This was back in late 1985 when sometimes on Saturday afternoons I and us siblings would go roller skating to the AWESOME songs that were huge hits back then. I remember these AWESOME futuristic sounds of this pinball game machine being blended in with those awesome songs and the exciting vibe and feel in the air at our local skating rink. Also at the time, I was fascinated with the what I called at time futuristic looking car, jet etc .for I then thought about and was fascinated with concept cars, planes, etc imaging that they would probably look just like the concept cars by the early mid 1990s or year 2000. I recall reading magazines then such as motor trend that speculated this back then causing me to think like this and show such interest in such things at that time. Brings back AWESOME MEMORIES here! Thank you for posting and showing this!
You always enjoyed the heckler.. He is what made this game.. Him and winning baseball cards! I used to clean this fucker out every week.. And mom hated it cause I had cards all over the house..
A prior owner had put the LED lights in this machine. I do not like the way it looks at all. I am not a fan of LED lights in older games, nor I would ever install them in any of my games. Beside the looks of them I have many other reasons why I do not like them. I agree 100% the incandescent bulbs look better.
I have this same pinball machine. I do not have the backboard key. Do you happen to know what the key number is? I have been looking everywhere and can not find this information. Thank you for your help.
The key is not the same for all Galaxy machines. On top of that most older machines have had the locks changed over the years due to lost keys. When I get a game that has no keys I drill out the lock and replace the lock. Most pinball parts suppliers have new replacement locks.
The gun is just a prop and is only used to line up the shots. Underneath the gun is a plate that has a bunch of contact points. So, there is a row of contact points for the Crow, Cougar, and Ducks. There are two leaf contacts attached to the bottom of the gun. So, when you move the gun if drags the leaf contacts across to plate. Each target is run by their own motor and each target has own contact plate and leaf contact just like the gun does. So how it works is when you match up the gun contact (let's use the ducks as example) to the actual duck contact then you are connecting the two items together and when you press the trigger is completes the circuit which then triggers the duck hit relay to score the points, trigger the hit sound and trigger the hit light. There is also a coil underneath the gun that is used to vibrate the gun when you press the trigger to give the feeling of a real gun. What's neat about this game is it all works on the illusion that the barrel of gun is actually hitting the targets when it's not.
I remember when this was out and I was a kid. It was too hard for me to coordinate with two joysticks, but more than that I found the vase throwers unnecessarily mean. I could understand a soldier or a villain trying to kill you, but normal people trying to kill you just because you annoy them?
My family went to the movies in Costa Mesa to see "The Thing" back in August '82 and there was a Robotron 2084 machine in the lobby. My cousin and played it, loved it, and drove back a few times just to play Robotron. Epic classic arcade game!
Recently took my little girl to a pinball arcade/museum in Vermont and she absolutely loved it!! Buying her her first pinball machine for Christmas. Such a great time😁
Hi! I watched this video on RU-vid that you posted years ago reviewing the 1989 Bally Atlantis pinball machine. My mom voiced the girl's voice when she was 19 going to Northwestern in Chicago! I have been trying to locate one for sale - my mom and I have been looking for years. Do you have one that you'd potentially sell, or know where I can purchase one?
Thanks for posting this. I have a Jungle Lord that I am restoring. I'm using your post to see how it plays. I love this game. My favorite in my collection.
This machine does not use sound roms. All the sounds are analog created by a huge sound board that has a bunch of IC chips. The boards in this game were made for this game only and are not interchangeable to work in other games unlike ROM based games that came out later.
