I love ❤️ Cougar XR7’s, I had 1974, totally fully load silver addition, it was beautiful and magical ... I miss that car, it had a 351 cubic inch Cleveland V8, I towed a trailer, and that car handled the load perfectly, I added swaying-stabilizing-gear-hookups, and would go down an empty freeway at 80 miles an hour, with the A/C on full-blast, Stereo Radio/ 8 track tape playing ... Wow, what a smooth riding car, it took the bumps so smoothly and the suspension was the best ... I was a young, 21, year old, and this car had class, so many people always gave me a thumbs-up and fell in-love with the car, it was my baby ... I really wanted the 1968 Cougar XR7, with all the options, like A/C, Stereo/cassette, full-length console, power windows, Brakes, Steering, Dual-Front-Seats, cruise control, upgraded 6 speakers, tilt-steering wheel, fully leather seats and interior, 390 cu in engine, automatic transmission, Emerald-Green exterior with black-vinyl-roof, with sun/moon roof, black-leather-Interior-through out, spoke-wire-hubcaps, and 4-barrel carburetor, dual-power-mirriors, etc., the car would have cost over $8,000.00, But, things did not work out at that time, I had to wait, and the Brand-New 1974 Silver-Edition, exterior was totally silver with silver vinyl roof, and cranberry-red interior, It was the best!!!
It's cool to see these vids lots of people comment negative but half the cars like this just starting it does not make it road Worthy it was parked for a reason shocks tires radiator mufflers etc etc etc . I know I bought one like this cracked head , gas in oil guy ran it with a fryed fuel pump diaphram started right up though steering box all over the place it was more work than I wanted but it was running ....
poor car......how about some oil in the pistons to get compression up before you sit there and scar the crap out of the piston walls.....would have started right up
