I discovered this song a few years ago, thanks to the movie A Serious Man directed by brothers Coen. This sound was so catchy, and moreover, the band and lyrics are mentioned in the movie. Both are so great pieces: a movie and a song.
The 'Professor of Rock' brought me here with his interview on how this song came into existence, with SAC Keyboardist and Writer, Mark Weitz, in 1967, the Summer of Love... Amazing song and amazing times to be a teenager in the US and World!
Awesome song and interpretation. But please don't forget Jim Carrey's version on The Cable Guy. Solid gold. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XNc9phYujWY.html
Grace Slick just grabbed the verses on this song and just aggressively crafted some of THE greatest vocal moments in rock music history on this song alone! Check out her thunderous vibrato!
