I know this is a really late response but I am hopeful that you will see this post. I recently graduated with a bachelor degree in forensic science and would love to pursue a career in forensic pathology. Would I be able to apply to masters programs/medical school with my degree or should I go back and obtain a pre-med/biology based degree??
honestly, a bachelor in forensic science won't get you anywhere, it's too broad. you need a bachelor of biomed or whatever the prerequisite for med school is where you are, do that, then med school, then a fellowship or another degree. where i live, i would do a bachelor of biomedical science, then a bachelor of medicine/doctor of medicine, then a master of forensic science focusing on clinical forensic science. it will take around 11 years full-time
@@choccymilkconnoisseur2775 Ahh I see. I’ll be graduating with my bachelor’s degree in forensics soon. Guess I’ll just go with forensic biology then for masters
This literally sounds like the most interesting job ever. Will never get boring. I’m going to school to become a nurse but I really want to be a medical examiner
I just reached my 3rd yr of Sobriety at 32, so Im starting my college journey late. Doing my Gen ed classes now majoring in Biology with the goal of getting my Bachelors in Uni next, Med School after, then Forensic Pathology. I have a lot of ppl telling me Im too late, But I KNOW I can do it & alot of u can too! In 10 years I WILL BE A FORENSIC PATHOLOGIST ! 🥰
I wouldn’t be able to do it. I’m 23 years old but I want to be married with babies, that’s my main goal. If that wasn’t my main goal I would definitely go for an education and career like this but I am sticking with for your degrees. Currently looking at engineering because it seems like the only four year degree that I’ll get my moneys worth besides that an incredibly useful degree.
Hello! May I ask a question? I am currently a 1st-year college student in BS Nursing right now for my pre-med, what do I need to do after I got my pre-med degree? Is there a specific course or degree in medicine I need to pursue before going to forensic pathology? Thank you and have a great day!
Get into med school( 4 years )> clear your step 1 step 2 ---> apply to residency programs ----> match---> do your residency (3-4 years) ---> do one year forensic pathology fellowship---> And congratulations now you have become forensic pathologist.

During the holidays a lot of people become depressed. Many might not have family to celebrate the holidays with and that time of year we see a spike in suicides or those that live alone such as older folks can die alone at home because of winter (cold) or as mentioned; suicides 😞
How many years I have to study after high school ? Need help please I'm really interest in these career. Also what school revoked to study these career
4 years college + 4 years medical school + 4 years for pathology residency + 1 year for forensics fellowship = 13 years total. You'll get some income last 5 years though.
In India you do your bachelor's in medicine after schooling and then get a post graduate degree in forensic medicine. We in India not only deal with dead but all aspect of forensic . We call it legal medicine. 🙏
