Idk if that Neurothrope execution at the start of the video was added into the game recently or if it's always been there, but that was BRUTAL *_AF!_* That was some GOW3 Kratos savagery right there! 😆
I cannot wrap my head around melee based classes in this game. They have to put at least twice as much effort into everything than the meta picks. Like the Tactical can parry, do a gun strike and have 125% more ranged damage. Pick the grenade launcher or Melta and you one shot Majoris. Two or Three shots for a Extremis. The Bulwark and Assault can only dream of having that amount of DPS. When lethal comes out Bulwark and Assault will have a massive drop off. I guess if you want to play the game on extra hard. But quite frankly this isn't for me. To much effort for very little reward. Oh IF the Tactical gets the Neo Volkite Pistol then its over for melee classes anyway. Literally the only thing that holds it back from being god tier. A good sidearm.
I mean with specific builds you can 2shot majoris with the bulwark and assault. The assault is really fun to play and his 50% extra gunstrike damage goes nuts. The Bulwark might be not that strong but he has the best class ability in the game, being able to regenerate your health is just really easy with him. Thats why he is so good in my eyes. But of course the Tactical is still the best class!
@@trem8005 That is still two shots for a Majoris. In ruthless. This is only amplified with lethal later on. Then it takes three shots and that TTK is too long in a game like this. Tactical and Sniper are most likely going to need two shots for Majoris on lethal and this isn't even taking Extremis into account. Assault is by far the weakest class because it doesn't even have access to a good sidearm like the Bulwark. The only thing that makes the Bulwark even slightly viable. Again all this stuff will scale in lethal and people pretend this isn't going to be a problem. Some people are in for a pretty rough wake up call this month. Saber needs to buff melee combat. Like desperately. They also need to buff any weapon that isn't a Las Fusil or Melta. They already gave the heavy Plasma Incinerator a 10% damage buff. But that is just not enough.
I'd been struggling with the third difficulty, but i watched this a few days ago and it opened my eyes to the errors i was making. I was forcing things and not allowing a flow to develop. Have now finished on Ruthless multiple times now. Truly appreciate ya. Great work. Keep it up.
@@Sir_Outl4w I think the hammer is the best melee in the game rn but I also like slow weapons that deal a ton of damage. Just play whatever you like and feel the best 👍🏽
@@trem8005 you can totally run without them and since the recent patch their AI was tuned to make them more aggressive and more accurate with their targeting. Plus most enemies were nerfed. Google it you can truly solo, but it’s still pretty easy. You’ll be surprised how much busier you are when mob attention isn’t split between 3 targets.
@@deaconsyxx322I have googled it but I don’t see any results to get rid of the bots maybe you can tell me. The bots are more aggressive on the normal enemies but not on the stronger ones. They sometimes just stand next to them and do nothing as people mention it in my previous videos comments. Also the stats in the end of the mission dont lie, the bots are still pretty much useless
after the new patch its not impressive anymore , shit got so easy you can literally just play with 1 hand spamming counter almost fell asleep during my last run lol
10:13 I don't really understands what happens here. I think this happens in my games too. You get hit once, there is some stagger, and then after the stagger you're unable to parry. The first whip attack hits. Then the second whip attack you ought to get this parry. (You're even using a fencing melee if im not wrong) But it gives you a block? Don't fencing parry frames start instantly, so they shouldn't be able to get blocks. And then the minoris attacks and takes another notch of armor. (This seems to be pre patch gameplay cause minoris attacks now do way less to armor) I also get moments that make me unable to parry after getting a parry, or after getting a block. Even though my inputs are like usual.
Yeah you are right with everything! I think its a stun lock actually... so you basically you cant do sh*t after certain actions. Idk if its intented tho
Couple questions :) Do you use the plasma pistol with more damage for gun strikes? And I saw you mainly in speed stance for dmg using your electric perks for crowd control, love that, but how do you do that AOE slam with speed stance?
I think the plasma pistol is overall better then the bolt pistol and you do the aoe dmg when u attack and then stop (if you stop he is gonna charge the blade in a different stance) and press attack again he will do the aoe attack
There are two slams with power sword. The first one is just the end step of the light attack combo. The other one is after any attack pause a second and when he pulls the sword back hit attack and he'll do a 360 spin followed by a slam. They call it a power whirl. And looking at the ammo count of his pistol, it looks like he's using the one with extra ammo.
Question from someone (me) who yet thinks to buy SM2: does private lobby in Offline mode save grind progress after the latest patch? I live in a remote area with bad connection, and usually play single player games only. Don't want to risk buying and then grinding OPs for hours, for nothing.
@@romans4143 if you play in private mode nobody can join you but your progress is still saved. When you play without Connection you get into offline mode and I dont think your progress will be saved
@@trem8005 Makes zero sense. I've seen people complaining earlier that sudden connection problems have had their progress of a whole game session disappear. I understand devs not wanting the offline transfer to the online, for pvp and cheaters reason, but why the hell they won't just make two separate progression profiles altogether? For people who want or are forced to play offline exclusively... It's like that thing with widescreen. Not to have it in your 2024 game is simply mind-boggling. Players should not have to beg devs of such basic qol things.
@@romans4143 I can fully understand you...really unfortunate and the devs definetly need to change that, so that your offline progress also gets saved on your account
I know the assault class is flawed, and it's arguably the most undercooked in the game, but for me, there are few things as satisfying as swinging the thunderhammer back and forth, raking up minoris kills. Or bringing it down on a tyranid warrior's head while they're mid-attack.
Have not used the hammer that much on assault, been using chainsword for the big stomp. Is hammer better option? I felt it was a little clunky but I’d be willing to try it again if it’s that much better
@@tionwathe492 It does way more damage. With the right build you can can set up most enemies for an execution with a single ground pound. Also the double heavy is really satisfying. You also don't need to fully charge the heavy attack
@@WayneNova The first mission is the fastest mission thats why I am doing that. After the Solo Runs with the other classes, I will be posting normal videos with the other missions. You can also go check out my streams. I play the other missions there
Maybe it can help your gameplay but now with the new stems if you full heal in bulwarks banner you can get full health. At least it should even with a bot lol
This is exactly how I want to play! Solo, ruthless, thunderhammer assault. You rock! Thanks for the video, I will follow your build so thanks for sharing that in the end!
its ridiculous how OP the stagger of the Melta gun is. 4 warriors attacking at the same time? no problem. One Melta shot (instant, without winding up first) and all 4 are stagger at the same time up to middle range.
It is truly the best weapon in the game right now! But there are others which are also really good like the thunderhammer from the assault & the plasmagun from the heavy
@@trem8005 the Thunder Hammer wish it would have 1/3 of the stagger capabilties of a Melta. Not even a heavy attack that takes over 1 second to wind up can stagger warriors doing a move. Melta is just broken.
I feel like the game runs quite a bit smoother after the update. Like things just vibe better. They weren't in the patch notes but I could almost swear they sped up some of the execution animations a little bit.
@trem8005 I noticed the difference in the shield Tzaangors immediately, tried to solo a mission on the 3rd difficulty as level 11 Tactical. The Vox mission. I got to the last area and got swamped by Flame Rubrics and died. 🥲 I had a great run up to that point, barely took any damage. The difference in the AI aggression and responsiveness is pretty substantial, they're actually pretty useful now.
@trem8005 Dude I was playing last night and twice I died in the factory area of Decapitation and failed the mission because the game spawned literally a dozen melee Warriors and 4 or 5 ranged Warriors at the same time, in the same exact area. The way the AI chooses to do things sometimes is absolutely brutal. It wasn't even high difficulty, I was just cruising on Average getting my armor unlocks. I think that was one of the only times the game has legit made me angry.
