folks help.. i am trying to disable the sound of the shutter when taking pic and i did but it continue to make the stupid sound.. also cam seems really slow, certainly slower than the ones showed in videos.. what is wrong with my cam?
When you explain how to use the zebras for exposure on your face you show the back screen where there are lots of zebras on your face and they get less and less. Is the goal to have the minimum amount of zebras on your face or expose to the point where they just disappear from your face? Thanks. 6:22
The EOS R8 does not have an ALL-I profile (except for timelapse video). PAL has no advantages in terms of number of lines compared to NTSC. In modern cameras, this option exclusively affects the framerate. Technically weak review.
its to do with the lines of resolution, pal has slightly lower frame rate but more lines of resolution, Pal is around 625 lines of resolution, whereas NTSC has around 525 lines of resolution, if you record two clips side by side one as PAL and one as NTSC you should see a difference, depending if you can see them side by side equally monitors dependant.
As and old DVD horder I know the difference. It was either you get lower res but correct speed since NTSC could playback 24 fps more correct even though it was 30 fps, and with PAL you got more resolution but the film would play 4% faster with higher pitch audio. But can the R8 record in SD? I think the PAL/NTSC settings is more of a legacy thing to do with the frame rate on the camera, not necessarily the resolution. I don’t own the camera (yet 😇), so I wouldn’t know. Great video btw 🙂
@@johnjohansson thank you, glad you enjoyed it. 😁 canon support usa actually answered this question a couple of years back, and gave the exactly resolution difference between the two formats. As for the DVD that is what happens ,but that's to do with the way that is output then converted to either NTSC or PAL for region, as it then needs to add or remove frames, hence the sped up audio. although in modern video it doesn't massively matter for the output, the way the information is processed and records the information like colour gamut is effected. every camera I've used has to be switched between Pal or NTSC, this is to do with the way the camera processes the information as they still record the information needs for analog, other wise all the frame rates would be available at all times with no need to switch.
@@ChristianPitcher 4K or (UHD) is 3840 x 2160 pixels. There is no increase of line resolution with PAL, only difference is FPS. You are mixing SDTV terminology with digital 4K, which no longer applies.
I love this lens. I initially bought it to shoot astro and landscapes with my R5 while travelling. The price, weight, small size and fast aperture were simply too good to pass up. It's a fraction of the size and weight of my old ultrawide lens, a Samyang f2.8. The fact that I can also use it as a 25mm on my R10 is simply icing on the cake. My current travel kit is an R5, R10, RFS18-150, RF100-400 and the RF16. I'm thinking of replacing the R5 body with an R8 just for travel.
These are exactly some of the reasons why I love this lens. Nice I love the R8 it’s a great camera there are definitely I would like about the R5 but the R8 is honestly awesome 🙌🏻

I want a camera with an articulating lens for macro photography, using manual focus. I've head /read that the articulated screen of the R10 appears fuzzy and insufficiently lit. What has been your experience, please? Thank you!
Honest I haven’t had any issues with brightness or fuzziness personally with the R10. I would like it to have a less cluttered screen and there is a lot of information on the screen, but with the focusing guide and focus peaking I’ve not had any issues really
Did you mean the RF-S 18-45mm? The Rf16 is pretty sharp at f2.8 in the centre, but once’s stopped down to f4.5 they are very similar. The advantages of the RF16mm is it’s a full frame lens so useable if you ever go full frame. It’s built better, and is a full f stop and a bit wider. But it comes down what works for you. I had the RF/s for about 3 days before I got rid of it ✌🏼
Honey I now use both the r8 and the r10 and the are both amazing cameras but comes down to preference, I use the R8 most of the time now. But honestly have no problem picking the r10 up
You should get r8 cause first, ibis does wobble, you grt same sensor as r6 II, no record limit, no overheating, no crop. Thats plenty for me. You can USB charge and buy ač adaptér. I dont know why you dont see the value.
When I film in Clog 3 and put it in to cinegama like you showed, when i upload the footage to my computer it says theres a error and the format isnt excepted

@@ChristianPitcher it’s great in terms of reach and quality, the crop factor helps in that, but it’s unusable for everyday stuff as the the smallest setting is 160mm

Great question as it depends on what you want to achieve, the RF50mm f/1.8 is a great lens,great depth of field. But it is also very similar to your kit lens, in focal length, when it’s zoomed. Even tho the RF50 is a much better lens and great for portraits on the R10. With the crop of the sensor on the R10 the image will be more comparable to an 85mm. But I personally like the RF85 f/2, but it is double the money and will be more comparable to around 135mm so would give more variety of focal ranges.hope this helps ✌🏼
That was a surprise but have to agree, like or also on my R7 and R8. Foto and video vise, can’t complain at all. As well thinking about getting the 28mm, to be honest. It’s also really portable. Thanks for sharing and have a great week 😊🙏🏻
Yeah I never expected to use it as much a I do, but the image bangs from such a cheap wide angle lens. I’ve looked at the 28mm but haven’t tested yet. If it’s as good as the 16mm 100% worth it and will be great value ✌🏼

This is a tricky one as lens choice is always personal preference, I’m personally love the rf85 f2 it has really good Marco features, and I just prefer the 85mm focal length, but bare in mind that with the R10 there is a crop factor so you won’t see the full image produced by the lens so with the crop from the 85 you will see around 135mm so the 50mm will have more flexibility everyday with the R10. But think about what works for you and every use case for each lens, either of these lens would be good as they are great lens. I brake the Norm a little as I’m not a huge fan of 50mm but I know a lot, lot of people are

please help me . Can a godox v860ii v860iii or any other speed light fit this canon eos R10. I cant seem to find the contact points on the hotshoe. I also noted that you are using a third party flash on your R10. Any extension of help would be appreciated.
As far as i'm aware no, the r10 has a multifunction hit shoe and i dont think they are compatible yet, there is also an issue with some TTLs causing exposure issues with the pre flash. i think the only one that i know of that works is the Canon speedlite EL5, but i dont use speed light very often.
Canon RP and R8 are the same body. I think there is a very, very small marginal difference between the two in size. I always forget about the RP, as it’s now 5 years old. Thanks you ❤️
the Canon r10 and r50 have very similar, but the canon r10 edges it slight, if the but it also depends on what you would use it for. if your move a video or photographer shooter, but the r10 expands on a few of the r50 features. the biggest ones for me is the r50 only takes uhs-1 sd cards so that effects the burst modes because if buffering, and it also does get any 4k 60 fps for video, but there are a few other differences, the r10 in the sale is a better buy personally. but with that said everyone has different needs.

i've never scene anything official that it is, downsampled, it very well might be, but i use the 1080p 60fps all the time and i've never had anybody say they notice the difference or point it out,
Great question, 1 i do nothave a sl100d, i was never a massive fan of the godox. so i wasn't looking at adding another to my set up. plus it also shows the power differences if you have a 60w light or the godox sl60 and want to look for the next step up. plus no one was showing the this light against the sl60 and its something i would have like to have seen before purchase, as a lot of people have the sl60 i made the video.
I just bought an R10 and want to lear photography as a hobby. The amount of features is overwhelming but it's super handy i the most important stuff is easy to access.
Thanks for the video. The R10 will probably be my first mirrorless camera I'll upgrade in future. Now got the 2000D. The IBIS would of course be a nice addition, but can't require so much with my budget.
get an image stabilised lens and use a light digital stabilisation and the r10 does brilliantly. its a great camera for the price point i still love using it
