It’s truly amazing the level of musicianship and the talent that the Santana band has incorporated over the decades. Carlos must be given the credit for that. To have such insight as to what musically is out there that can mesh together to create a project like the Swing of Delight or any other of the bands recordings is a credit to Carlos vision as well as the longevity and excellence the Santana Band has consistently maintained in light of the change in personnel.

Carlos even said that his approach to music was not, and is not, inspired by any latin, or so-called latin, influences. Just because you incorporate certain elements of things in music, doesn't mean you can define it. Again, as usual, people, the land of the ignorant people, attempt to slap a label on music. And EVERY single time, you people fail. Miserably. Larry Coryell, and his music, who also influenced Carlos Santana, had to set a music critic straight on that subject once before.
He was already working with Yamaha at this point?! Even before his famous coalition with Tom Coster, and their famous up tempo version (classic) performance of the Peter Green song?! I did not know this!?
Exactly 15 days before I was born. This music is just too good! The insane groove, the solos, the energy.. magnificent. I wish we had this in HD or Blu-ray or whatever. The music-world deserves it!
WOW ! This is has to be the best Santana tribute band I've ever heard......and I'm picky about this stuff. There's so much fire in the sound , which I normally don't hear unless it's the real Santana band from decades ago. GREAT job.
