Thanks for video . I’m having one heck of a time getting this door out to remove. Mine sets in the wall behind the shower in master bedroom going up the stairs on a fifth wheel
Don't plan on going to Ca. they are going to start diesel engine carb emissions inspections at California entry stations on all Trucks and RV's. If you don't pass there carb restrictions CHP will pull you over and immediately cite you. Good Luck!
I am good for CA because I pass Colorado Front Range CARB every year. It the other 46 state RVers that might go to CA with modified emissions like the DEF defeater that might get a ticket. That is, if CA ready does the roadside emission inspections like they are threating to do. If you're a CA business with diesel trucks over 14 tons, it going to suck... But those new costs will just get passed along to the consumers that use their services.
I'm driving a motorhome on a XC chassis too .. I was wondering, how can someone replace the engine serpentine belt ? I can't see any way to even touch it ..... ?
If you cut the all-thread nut at the correct length, you will be able to thread it on there. Too long it will not fit and too short you cannot get the wrench on for the last tightening. I got lucky on my cuts. I was just winging and not referring back to the iRV post like I should have after reading it few weeks before I went for it.
I'm in the Denver Colorado metro area. The state gov voted to follow the California CARB mandates a few years ago. I can get by it by registering in Montana. I am thinking of doing that with a project that I want to engine swap.
Update: I return the Go Mixer Pro-X because the pre-amp could support gain hungry mics without a FetHead or other in-line pre-amps that require the 48v power which the iPhone cannot power. I moved on to a Mackie MobileMix which has good pre-amps for the same price as the Go Mixer and a FetHead plus more channels and Bluetooth.
No, it is just a basic portable sound interface. I don't think the pre-amp can even handle a Sure58 mic. I just switched to a Mackie Mobile Mix and the pre-amp is very good and it is easily portable. However, it doesn't have a USB interface to record with like others. I connect it to my computer or phone via BluTooth or the headphone jack and it records very nice both ways for easy streaming. Check out the Mackie ProFx6v3. It has USB and is a real mixer with PC DAW tools. I also have the ProFx10v3 and it is very good for the price.
Man what a nightmare. But it's always nice when I get into something like this and solve it myself. I routinely tell my wife I saved $XX. Of course I fail to mention my time. I actually enjoy stuff like this, so most of the time the time is no biggie. Thanks for taking all of the time you took to edit and share. Watched from beginning to end. I definitely learned some things from you. I have a 2019 Tiffin Red 340. Don't have this issue....yet lol. Thanks again.
Great video. Do mine annually, but wondering if it’s too often. Tiffin Powerglide chassis manual suggests each year. I see you had the grease on face as proof you did it just like me. JEGS has some nice jackstands. A little pricey but haven’t heard great things about Harbor Freight cheaper ones. I’ll be moving to Colorado from Texas in a few years. Guess I better learn to work on it when the weather is good. Thanks!
I don't think that is too often. The RU-vidr ProjectFarm had two good videos about jackstands that is worth the watch. I just double down on harbor freight jackstands and got the 6 tons ones. Haha.
Nice work. Not time yet for me to do ours but I know it will be some day. Read a guys post on iRV2 today who’s about to replace his. Figured I’d check videos. Great job. Thanks
I'm changing passenger control arm on mine. Had to use strut spring compressor to get clearance for ball joint. New bushings are so stiff!! She's ready for 150mph again.
What do you call the metal tool you used to pull control arms together? Im in the same situation and i would hate to disassemble everything for 1 bolt .

elonorcar, The car is a four door Subaru Legacy Sport, so it has the EJ22T turbo motor. The exhaust is for a Subaru Impreza WRX and it is not EPA legal. I had to extend it by 5 inches (12.7cm) to fit the car. I also added a hi-flow catalytic converter so it would pass USA Colorado emissions testing. I've added two blog articles about how I did it in the description above.
