Allright, it's official: some dickheads trying to kill culture by making it available only to the rich (by shouting "copyrights!") permanently sabotage all my efforts to reupload the 1939 version. So, unfortunately, I won't post it back here.
When I first watched this scene I was crying because I thought quasi modo died but then I jumped up and started screaming and dancing when I saw he was alive
Fan fact: Dancing publicly was hella provocative for a woman back in the time. So it's a nice touch of the movie which portrays that she was forced to dance and she is more modest at her clothing and moves.I just wish they have made her more emotional and into the rythm. I love how the movie has sticked to the book but i historical accuracy as well that makes sense for the plot.
Esmeralda isn't guilty of murder but she is gulty of adultery because she is married to Pierre Gringoire and Phoebus is engaged to flouyr flour de Lys. Even if both didn't have feelings for their partner they where still in official relationships even if it was arranged or in name only , it's still a relationship.
gringoire reminds me of judas in jesus christ superstar becouse they both clearly felt bad about abandoning or betraying a loved one but did it becouse they got scared or were told it was for the other persons own good or something. judas he turned over his best frieand and Pierre left his wife. 😢
😂Pierre Gringoire is so funny in this. He's relationship with esmeralda in a nutshell be like: so we you say go to bed do you mean go to sleep or do you want to do the you know what...😂. Esmeralda: 😲 Monsieur Gringoire, sir I vearly know you and I don't like you in that way so mind out of the gutter.
Frollo is one of the villains you remember... Even by Disney standards... This man who sits at the highest seat of authority of the Justice Department. He's as corrupt and as bigoted as possible. But in his own eyes, he is a true Christian. Doing what he believes is God's will. Some of the worst sinners, they say they do it in the name of God... May Tony Jay find immortality, in this, what may be his greatest role...
