The last number (the encore) was "Sweet Georgia Brown" - if you mean the previous one, with which they actually closed the set, that was "The Summer Wind."
This is ORGANIC REAL JAZZ: cool, smooth, relaxing, enticing and soulful with a swing that is politely hot and easily digestible. Lords and Ladies, Scott Hamilton with his musical troupe is in the House! Lohvissimo!
Great production .. Audio, lighting, etc ....excellent ... thank you. If you watch anything check out Scott’s incredibly melodic rendition of Cherokee at 23:00 ....
Ah...?!! Dis donc Philou, tu y vas fort quand même!
Sounds just almost like Stan Getz. A little different on the technique, of course he has his own great style; He's just awesome. The whole trio is just excellent. Bravo!!! I'd love to book him for a gig.
At long last here's a non-Brazilian drummer who can keep the bossa nova beat extremely well! In fact, he sounds better than most American jazz drummers do in that particular. Congratulations from a jazz aficionado from Brazil. As for the show as a whole, very nice indeed. Mr. Hamilton has always been a champion for traditional jazz, and, in my opinion, this is what jazz is about.
I love Scoties playing. I seen him in B Belfast a number of times. He hasn't been for a long time..I miss him big time. He always had time to talk to talk to his fans. I do hope he is well..Thanks Scoty.
This memorable gig is Mr.Hamilton at his cool and swinging best. What a great rich and mesmerising sound he has. Also great band with Phillippe Martell in top form.To sum up , "This is how it's done".
