Hello! My name is Jazzy and I am a homeschool mom in Arizona with three kids. I help overwhelmed mothers remove their Super hero cape and ask for help. On this channel I talk about parenting, travel, and self care, the Jazzy way. Talk soon, Jazzy
Great question! The Princess cruise issues out medallions to all cruisers instead of a key card. The medallion is used to make purchases and open your cabin. When you receive the medallion it is on a very thin lanyard. The medallion fits easily into the air tag watches and I felt more comfortable wearing it on my wrist. I purchased the air tag watch ahead of time to avoid paying high ticket prices on the ship for a watch to replace the lanyard. The medallion is waterproof too so you can wear it inside the pool! Very convenient.
I'm doing a short 7 day Alaska, mid June, 2024, on the Bliss (NCL) . I haven't decided if I will bring a Tri-climate jacket, and rain pants, or bring my old, long Trench coat, for rain. That foldable backpack looks good.
The foldable backpack was very convenient. I was able to fit a lot inside on port days. I watched a lot of vlogs from cruisers in June and July and it looks like rain is an every day thing at that time. I would suggest bringing whichever coat will keep you dry. If you are an overpacker like me you can always bring both lol. I hope you have an enjoyable cruise. Please, come back and let me know about your experience on NCL.
Thank you for Really useful information, even tho I’m from cold cold Canada 😉 and 50F is T-shirt weather for me. I don’t know the laundry facilities on Princess, but for doing laundry in my cabin on an NCL ship I bought the Scrubba laundry bag as well as laundry sheets. This little gizmo is a life changer for me! It’s great for doing underwear, tshirts socks etc on a cruise, or a hotel trip, road trip, overnight hiking or camping. And‼the bag can be used as a dry bag, for beach or rainy days. It doesn’t have pockets so it won’t replace the packable backpack, but it still can do double duty on some types of trips. Happy trails to you and your viewers 🚢👍🏻
Thank you for the tip! I have never heard of this product until now but this sounds super handy. I can see myself using this in the future when my kids are on travel sports teams. Gone are the days of febreezing a jersey to wear the next day lol. While I was on this Alaska trip we were able to wash and dry our clothes for free! They had some issues with the payment method and I was not complaining. Thank you for the well wishes and stay warm in Canada 😊.
Hey loved your videos .. i will he exploring alaska through cruise next year early may .. how the weather in early may … and when you all travelled alaska
Hello! Thank you so much for watching my videos. I really do appreciate the support. I cruised through Alaska May 6-13. The weather was very good. We were able to avoid rain at every stop except Ketchikan. I am from Arizona and I was even able to take off my jacket on some days because I felt warm. In my opinion the coldest day was in Juneau. That was only because we canoed to the glacier and being so close to the ice the temperature had a major drop. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
Cetaphil, Cerave, Witch Hazel…do not follow these folks across the internets with a 15 steps skincare routine. It will be time to get up/go to bed by the time you’re done.
Facts! I have avoided skin care routines because it all sounds so time consuming. I will just deal with the break outs and avoid the hour plus of "self care" lol. But I am going to grab some witch hazel because I hear that's a game changer
I don't remember the exact temperatures but I do know we went the first weekend in May and avoided rain at every port except Ketchikan. Also, when we had our scenic cruise day through Glacier Bay I took my raincoat off because I felt warm. The coldest time overall on the trip was my canoe excursion because we traveled so close to the glacier and I really felt the temperature drop. I hope this was helpful. Enjoy your future cruise!
