this is sooo cute !! using this to make some cat toys :3 although i wouldn’t say it’s too beginner friendly (i think mostly because a project this small can be hard when you’re starting out + the color changing) i enjoyed making it nonetheless and will definitely be crocheting a bunch for my friends and family that also own cats 😸
I like this design. I'm going to try it. I want to make some for my brother, he plays a game called Voices of the void. In the game there are cute alians looking like a mix of cats and fish, and they love shrimps so much they go steal it from your frige in game. Its gods food for them or something. But I love this design.

The last stitch of the round should be made where the the last stitch of the previous round is! You could try using stitch markers to avoid this problem 🫶🏻 In the pattern, you will find in parenthesis the amount of stitches you must have at the end of each round 💞 Let me know if this helps you:)
Round 3 and 4 are different! Round 4 is almost like making 2 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc, 1 inc several times! I just like to space the increases to have a circular shape 🫶🏻
