Never give up follow the dream put your trust in God. Tell your self I can do all thing through Christ who strengthens me. Read this Scripture Acts 2 vs 38 I am a Jamaican athelete who have a dream from ever since i was 14 years old to be the first 14 year old to run sub 20 in the 200m. Now my goal change to being the first Jamaican high school boy to run sub 20 in the 200m.
I see some good stuff in your video. See your determination keep it up. Become a student of your races, study your race. Meaning, learn as much as you can about your race. The start, mid phase and finish. Watch all rounds of big meets, like the World Championship, Olympics. Its how you get better.
Morning, just like your 200. You need to work on acceleration, quickness or speed, endurance, special endurance and aerobic work. Your 400m the same development. Focus on getting your 400m time much faster. Then your 200m, get better as well as your 100m. As l study and review this race. The things I mentioned above needs to be worked on.
Navardo,God may not be finished with Jamaica as yet. I need you to take SERIOUSLY your walk with God. If you have not already done so, get back to focusing on God NOW. Follow Him completely, other things maybe heading to Jamaica.
That's unfortunate but as powerful as that storm was. It came and it left,so give God thanks. He kept you, your family. If He can keep you in such a dangerous storm. He can keep anything you give Him to keep. Give Him your ALL, including your athletic career. Ask Him,He is listening.
However, don't forget after all Speed sessions, cool down, stretch, icebath(helps with recovery) and warmbath hour later, massage then balance nutrition healthy meals and REST. Ok
No,it because it activates the slow twitch muscle fibers. Its the opposite of speed. LSD or long slow running has its place. Only in P1, you need to work on quickness and acceleration because it's your weaknesses.
I see your passion, but you doing it alone is not enough. You need a knowledge trainer, who totally understand running mechanics. Your SL(stride length)and SF(stride frequency) is not balanced. Acceleration and quickness must be worked in P4. Ex,fly 30m sprints,40m,60m-110 has to be worked on. Then also work on speed and special endurance. 250m to 300m 1-2x per week.
Son, you got the right concepts in certain areas. I agree, training is now year round. I called summer training Phase 4,it design for athlete and their coach to work on special race weaknesses. For example,if an athlete has starting issues, then that area is addressed. If speed, mental focus or whatever, it's worked on. Your case is accelerating, speed, special endurance. Perhaps, once per week put the P4 training into a 300m-400m.
Top 3 per event run in the Plympics individual events. This is how Ja was able to get 1, 2, 3 in Tokyo women 100m. Relay pool includes 4th place and possible 5 and 6 places.
Hey, Im Jamaica til 3pm today actually, I was here for 3 days. I was asking alot of folks at the track about you. However, nobody knew you. You got to get into some serious training. I wanted to do a clinic and take some videos. To try and show you some things you must correct and work.
Good luck in your exams also.😊 During your start, you popping up too quickly. Arm swing is too weak, they should be stroking up and down aggressively. Besides, your outward ground forces of ankles is not aggressive
Ok, l'm presently here at the Penn relays. I see alot of your country athletes here. They are doing well. My boys are doing great as well. Seriously, you should be running 10.6)21.2 respectively. I was expecting to see you in Grenada for the Easter Carifta Games.
I truly believe you have what it takes to be successful. There are 3 things you must change now. 1.Coach,2. Get quality training partners.3. Specialized specific training. There are many other aspects but these three stands out
