No only one each side, looks Like two because of the step center bracket. They may sell them in different lengths not sure. But my setup is one each side.
@@nicktracy4118 they are not as noticeable but I have mine behind that rub along the side I really wanted them for the night time. So I guess they look good during the day but really good at night for my liking.
Hey Chris, Thanks for the video, very helpful. I am having a hard time breaking loose the sensor. Did you have the system hot when you removed it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I’m glad it was helpful you can try a couple things: yes, mine was hot I let it cool to the touch but you can try it hot just of course be careful. Another thing you can try is pb blaster on it because you’re replacing it anyhow. Another option is try to tighten it slightly then removing it. Sometime moving it ever so slightly will really it lose. One last try is using an open end and tapping the end of the wrench with a hammer to jar it loose even an extension of some kind for more leverage. Good luck and I hope you get it.
Did mine the same way you did including the reverse. Just a diferent brand was all and hooked it all into the master wire set that are under my door sill on the drivers side. Your video actually inspired me to mine. So thanks bud.
tap into the grey wire with purple strip under passenger door kick panel, peel the tape off the wires and tap your power wire from the lights into the grey and purple wire and they will only come on when you open the door.
I put the 360 vent or whatever it is I can’t remember on top of that so it will work as that with low solar days and driving. And so far all is well, thank you.
@@chrisdwarmbold1385 great reply because I was thinking about the 360 I think the one that looks like a part of a air plane looks like a tree would take it out I think I'm doing exactly what you did your very clever thank you for sharing
@@chrisdwarmbold1385 ok I've been thinking do I really need the 360 ? Does it really make a difference in it's design or could I get away with a cool cover ?
@@martywolf1819 I have had both and the airplane swivel one is annoying to me because you hear it in the wind. The 360 is better than factory and actually is the best one without power assist that I have used.
@@martywolf1819 either I guess but I would and have always used the 360. Of course I also always seal the gap between the roof and the plumbing as well because that is so many causes for sewer smell in the rv. Then when that is done makes sure there is enough vent above the roof line and I now use the solar setup with the 360. Without solar or power assist then just the 360. Not a fan of the airplane thing you mentioned above and honestly did not see as good of an outcome using it. Good luck my friend
I think you have the lights going in the wrong direction for the turn signals! The should light up at the front and move towards the rear when blinking! Just my opinion! 🙂
I've had mine for 2yrs sitting in the box. I keep forgetting about them and then I just recovered from neck surgery. Guess this next check I'll be having them installed
I would get them on it’s worth it. I have had them on since 2019 now and I put many miles on my truck winter In Wisconsin and summers of Texas. They seem to be holding up very well still. Good luck and have fun.
I'm assuming you wired all the wires into your tail light assembly. looking to do exactly what you did so I have running board lights while in reverse.
The crappy service part is understandable, however, there is a date next to the price of the services showing the promotion ending date, most companies do, Suddenlink included, nowadays the don't but they still send it to your E-mail.
I ran the negative wire to my rear tail light and then the positive wire to my runner light bulb on my rear tail light both sides are flickering any help?
Try it with the vehicle running if you did not already, low voltage causes that sometimes and when the vehicle is off they will flicker. Hope this helps good luck
@@chrisdwarmbold1385 It was the other way around when the vehicle key was in the run position everything was fine with my wireing ,when I started the vehicle they went crazy flickering. Do you know what I need to run these relay? Line fuse ? . it was Amber LED runner strips for the side steps. I did it on my 06 ram no issues .
You can try another power source temporarily to see if it still happens or You can try these I have used them before in another project. I hope you figure it out bud. www.amazon.com/Zento-Deals-Pieces-Load-Resistors/dp/B01N0ZKV1R/ref=asc_df_B01N0ZKV1R/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312190333361&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10082325707910853548&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=21137&hvtargid=pla-568827705785&psc=1
Thanks good video. Started with an engine fault light. I took my Ford F250 to a dealer. They broke it off in the pipe. They wanted to sale me a new pipe and sensor. That pipe cost is $8XX . And they don't have easy outs or anyway to remove broken pice. Thanks again Chris D. Warmbold.
Yall only read when its convenient ,the bill shows your ending date of the promotions at all times, and order conformation email is sent to you at the start of services
@@chrisdwarmbold1385 they put it on all my bill statements ,I have friend that they do the same thing for it's their common practice ,not even just them but att did it when I had them too it's something that all companies do and they dont have to reach out to you to inform you of any changes because an explanation of your billing would be given to you when you signed up and you would get an order confirmation
Actually that’s exactly how I wanted them I preferred them to go fwd in the direction I am going. It’s your preference I don’t mind either way but thanks.
I see your point as the Turn/brake light wire are the same. They do but it’s not a big deal for me the benefits outweigh that minor glitch. Daytime you can’t even notice it and at night they are on anyhow with running lights on
Like the day I put them on. I was commenting on this the other day to a friend of mine. I am happy with them still. They are holding out water and all functions still work.
Excellent Vid. Well Deserved LIKE THumbs UP. Some people should know that even if your ford warranty runs out there is a federal govt law that extends the warranty for Parts like this if you haven't modified or deleted your emissions..
I had to disconnect the sensor like you said then I cut off the sensor with a skinny wheel so I could put a 12 point wrench on it to break it loose. it also helps to remove the spare tire
Good idea! I didn’t have any problems with the spare tire and it was easy enough for me to just do it as I did but for some that may be a helpful tip thank you! I hope it worked out alright for you.
Shouldnt this be covered under the drivetrain warranty if ur within the 5 year 60k??? What symptoms? Anyway to clear it besides changing the part. what about regenning ? I have 20k On a 2016 Its crazy that theres so many issues. I just started having a CEL.
Not sure about the warranty I was told it was not covered but I would not be surprised if I was lied too would not be the first nor the last for that one. I did not have any symptoms really at all just a light, just my experience. Regen did not clear mine I had to replace the part then it cleared and never came back and I have about 10k on it after that now at least. With only 20k yours without a doubt should be under warranty, check with them. Good luck and I hope you get good news from the dealership.
Yea there pretty bright but they are not overbearing. I have had them for a while and they are still holding strong which I am pleased about. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks for your great video! I have a P24C7 code which points to the PM sensor bank 1 which I think is the sensor you replaced here. After I replace the sensor with box, do I need to take it to the dealer for a PCM software upgrade?
No you don't, you may need to take it to any parts store or auto mechanic place to get get the code removed most likely. My scanner/tuner you see in the video had the capability to delete the error/code. But no reprogramming required.
I have a 6 and 7 code Im startin to wonder if theres 2 I have to replace tho I Just Had the Check Engine Light come on yesterday. Im wondering if it can be cleared thru a regen since my drives are way to short
@@culbyj3665 you can try it but most likely not. I would try replacing one and see if that clears one of them if so then replace the other. They are not that expensive nor hard to do at least the aft one as in my video. I wish I had more info and help for you but this is what I would try. Good luck let me know how it goes.
That garbage shit gets stuck on the actual sensor inside there...the sending unit..but it don’t take 10 minutes to take it off.... it’s worth taking off IMO...I’m curious to know if comes back on down the way, but that o ring goes bad a lot on that plug as well
Never came back on, and I have done it both ways this was way easier especially if you do not want to mess with the o-ring or gasket. Either way this was just a simple way to fix it and it i have not had an issue afterwards.
So far so good, even through small hail storm. My smell is gone I did add my 360 vent on top of this for non sunny days. I may switch to a new solar panel that operates even under cloudy days like the ones you can get now at harbor freight even for a great price. Other than that its great so far, I have had a couple friends do this and it helped there problem as well. Thanks for watching.
@@chrisdwarmbold1385 Hey Chris... What are your thoughts on using a fernco fitting? Small end laps the stock vent pipe and the wide end has the fan resting in it similar to your setup. Then the 360 on top. Just throwing ideas around.
