When you say « look up » where are you looking up these grad programs. Or is it you are contacting Pi’s or their labs organizer and asking them if they have a grad program.
I was always curious if marine biologists usually work in specific rich biodiverse areas such as Southeast Asia or South America or they work only where they are employed

After graduating from with my bachelors in marketing, I thought whether or not I made the right choice. Part of me believes I made the wrong choice and should’ve gone with something involved around my interest, sea life. Looking at it now, I don’t have the scientific or mathematical knowledge to succeed in that field. But my love for sea life pushed me to be a Fishing RU-vidr. Now my knowledge from my marketing degree is helping me to improve my channel. Hoping for the best.👍🙏
Wait I have a quick question. I wanna be a marine biologist and I never rlly knew any other types of marine biologist. So is being a marine biologist a field or do I have to choose something in the field. I’m very confused 😭🙏
little feedback on language used: "so cool" is not ver y helpful when trying to assess a product. tell people WHY a specific feature makes sense and talk from experience
It's sad that McDonalds in California has a starting wage around $30 an hour (~$60,000 a year) and me with a Masters in Life Science from one of the top 20 schools, as well as a B.S. in Enironmental Science am struggling to find a job that pays even that. It shows how little we currently value the environment.

My school is plaving a the year 10's (about 50 of us) into places that fit their career paths where we'll work for 2 months out of our summer. Ive been placed in the Insitiute of Marine Affairs and ive been asked to make a resume before i go there. Thanks for this it really helped!!
I agree with you there are a lot of cons. Unfortunately there is no communication channel left on the Suunto website where a customer could give his feedback to your products. Suunto has completely eliminated any communication with customers. I bought my first Suunto dive computer about 30 years ago: Suunto Solution. I have used it on more than 500 dives and will continue using it. The design of the screen of the Suunto Solution was made by people who understand diving. Now I bought the new D5 trusting in your brand. I am very disappointed. The screen view is made by tech people who do not understand diving. One of the three essential informations - no deco time - is not on the screen by default. And its not in prominent position but small in the arch at the bottom. Further, not necessary information - like safety stop - is blocking part of the screen permanently (the Zoop has a good solution for this.) Now there is the DM 5 software. First, the D5 comes with a USB B connection, which many PCs do not have anymore. Second, once you download the the DM5 you are prompted to further download and install a very large Mono software, which I find too risky. Overall, very bad experience. Wii go back using my Suunto Solution. Display is just better and just what a diver needs.

I work as a Environmental Officer and I collect the DATA, the hydrologist doesn't collect the DATA. Hydrologists aren't just concerned with the Environment, we have to ask them to do work for us that we can use in our Environmental decisions but they don't actually focus on the environment. I thought this was supposed to be Environmental jobs not people that we contract to help us with our environmental work. Epic fail, epic fail.
This was my first career choice when I was 5. I remember being super obsessed with octonauts( a kids show about ocean exploration) and as soon as I found out I could have a career all about water I said I was gonna be a marine biologist for a longgg time. I got caught up with other interests and found other careers I’d also love to do but today I watched a documentary and saw some of my favorite sea animals and it sort of reconnected me to the potential of getting into the field. I’m 15 so I’ve still got 3 yrs to figure out what I wanna do, and even if I don’t end up being a marine biologist I’m glad I’ve done some research, and regardless I’d definitely love to be in the water more!
