“Boards Don’t Hit Back.” - Bruce Lee. These techniques are only good for demonstrations and for the movies. When you close the distance, take them down to the ground, they become clueless and struggling. Flying kicks and high kicks are dangerous for yourself in most real street combat situations.
The dumbest part imo is the part where they hit him with sticks. Any decent prop master could have YOU doing that today (well, maybe they need to prep but still). And any decent quarterstaff wouldn’t break (a decent weapon that is, rather than a practice weapon). It’s just meaninglessly flashy.
I have said it before and I will continue to say it. ITF is the original and only true system of Taekwondo. It's not that watered-down sports nonsense. People just don't understand the level these Martial Artists are at is so far above your typical fighter their not even on the same game board. Their understanding of the laws of physics and body mechanics gives thier system the most powerful of all strikes I have seen and felt in my 22 years of Martial Arts experience. In the military system every single strike is designed to break bone. The only other system that matches them is Kyokushin Karate.

Knife defense should only be taught by people who actually deal with them in real life like a prison officer or cop,not some martial artist who just theorises about it.
