At approximately 20:50 in the video, you say the words-“ I saw 3 moose, 2 of them were bulls “- what was that dark thing behind you? Looks like it’s about 30 or 40 feet behind you 🤔. Was it just a big log that fell down??
used to live in Kamloops n the 70's , fished the South Thompson but never caught a Bull trout. very nice fish and photo work. Kamloops is quite the place to live, access to so much fishing.
Nice!!!!!!! Hey be interested in caliber, where on bear bullet hit, distance ran... any comments re this? Thanks!! Being an 'olde' guy, I'm always interested in tips to keep the bear from going too far e.g. especially down steep hills etc!
I took my wife on her first bear hunt. This pass fall setting on bait. She was using a Wicked Ridge raider 400 decock crossbow. I had it sighted in with Tooth of The Arrow broadhead. A 100 gr XL head. It blew thru the bear into a metal drum. The blood trail was unreal. On small trees along the trail. All over the ground. Went less than 60 yds. It was a big old boar 400+ pd bear. First day of season 2 bear of the morning. She had it shot by 7:30 am. Our 4x4 4 wheeler. Wouldn't pull it out of the woods. I am planning on going to Idaho or Montana next spring. Putting a new rifle and scope together. My new rifle is a Browning rifle. A Xbolt Hells Canyon Speed Long Range 280AI. Cant decide which scope.
I heard a while ago on another bear hunting video that bear blood trails are hard to find, I think it's due to there coats absorbing the blood. I not quite sure though.
Nice video, good laker you caught there! Was there as well in February and caught a lot of 16-19 inchers but nothing big. The way you guys dropped down for those Kokanee that quick is awesome! Tight lines
Such a nice video. What's your camera setup? Btw 5:43 you can't be passing on solid yellow on your side of the road, it's painted there for a reason, just saying.
I'm heading up that way this weekend, is it possible to drive in to that lake? Also not sure if it's easier to get in via the Bestwick direction or from the old merritt highway side
Best wick is the only way I know how to get in there. I wouldn’t drive into this lake with a truck anymore this year since the last two dumps of snow. Personally I’d say it’s atv or snowmobile only now
Congrats man, nice goat. Whereabouts roughly you hunting? I just moved to the east Kootenays, couldn’t fill my goat tag cause I wanted a late season coat, life got in the way and I only got out once. Sure is fun hunting up there tho, had my first successful solo goat hunt in 2020. Good times
Goats definitely get addictive once you figure out how to find them. It’s just a whole different world they live in 🙌 That exhaustion definitely hits home though. I had flashbacks watching the end of this, haha 😂 Great footage man, and great goat…congrats!
