В конце концов все перешли на прямые удары тогда дали им мечи и кинжалы...умелые стали наносить всего один удар подставляясь...такчичные стали придумывать стили и обучать им всех и тогда появились бои и соперничество обрело новый вкус
Serious question to someone who knows the mechanics of both: do you think that dueling saber and ‘military’ saber should be separate events in HEMA tournaments? With many US tournaments not having weights specified for saber, it seems weird that 680g Castilles can fence against 850g Ensifers. Thoughts?
Jesus… not this stupid shit. Katanas were sidearms. They’re just status symbols in its heyday. Stop swingin the thing around, sheathe it and put it down or throw it away. If it’s not traditionally made, it’s basically worthless junk unless it’s iaido. But I know you’re doing that shit because you do this stupid shit.
There’s no way that’s a trained katana wielder, the fencer us definitely familiar with his weapon but there isn’t much footwork or blade movement from the katana wilder. Literally sharks it at the end -,.-
Immaculate footwork on the parry. I've always admired athletes with great footwork because if you're light on your feet and have good footwork, you can basically become very good in ANY sport with the right training.
For those trying to understand. Red twirled is sword to parry Blue's poke then just before Red finished the twirl, the sword hits Blue's chest then goes up Blue's right arm. Disarming him, literally.
