Respectfully Pastor Olusegun. It's not out of place to come out for Dr. Damina if you've just listened to two of his messages. I had a similar taste but, I persevered and have followed him for 8 solid years. 2016-2024 and I'm still following. By the grace of God I'm now a preacher of the Christ & His gospel. Meanwhile I have never met Damina 1 on 1. Please persevere And follow him well. He knows his onions. A powerful gift to the body of Christ. Phil 4:19 speaks of spiritual riches And so all the riches of God. All the blessings of God are spiritual without exception. Shalom!
My brother, for your information what Dr Abel Damina and your very self are just discovering is the very foundation of the understanding of some of us. I have been Christocentric from the beginning because I was trained by some of the best disciplers. Therefore there is nothing special or new to get. My challenge is that because he had his foundation wrong and did not have systematic biblical development and just discovered the truth doesn't mean he should turn many upside down. I perceived he is still growing in his understanding of the fundamentals of Christianity. Most of his assertions are mixtures of truth and error. Maybe because you are learning most of the things you know from him first hand you may not understand that there are a lot of poison. As your understanding blossom you will know better. It is erroneous to stretch any truth beyond it's scriptural boundaries. We are not permitted to twist to fit what we want. Why every blessing of God is first Spiritual that doesn't negate the fact that God gives material wealth. In fact the Spiritual blessing is what we are told makes us rich and rich in that context mean abundance of things. While I stand against the abuse of the Gospel to defraud people financially, it will be wrong on the other hand to confuse people by asserting that God does not bless materially.
Well done man of God. Your presentation is balanced but will still be misunderstood. Seed connotes a number of concepts and not necessarily money so if material, I agree with you as it depends on the context of use. The only issue for our Christianity is where it is abused and folk are manipulated into giving. This is also where Dr Damina is trying to address.
Pastor, with all respect, I totally disagree with your apologetics on this matter. You spoke respectfully and I believe you spoke sincerely from your heart. However, I am struggling to see how the three main Bible passages you quoted equate seed to money. More so, I am struggling to see how God "multiplies" the "seed/money" in these passages. ; Even though I agree with you that seed is generally a concept in the Bible and can represent many things in the Bible, the Bible hardly equates seed to money. The closest material things the Bible clearly equates seeds to are: agricultural seeds, offspring, nations, etc. The three main Bible passages you quoted to support the claim that the Bible equates seed to money and that God multiplies the "seed/money" when we sow them are scripturally problematic. This is because, contextually, Ecclesiastes 11:1, 6; II Corinthians 9:1-9, 10; Galatians 6:7 use "seed" as godly works. Read these passages together with Hosea 10:12. In all these passages, what is multiplied is our godly works, not the money we give. I was very surprised you even quoted Galatians 6:7 to support the claim of "sowing and reaping" in terms of money as seed. Examine the context very well and you will notice that Paul is talking about works, not money. You ignored the pretext, that is Galatians 6:1-5 and also mis-interpreted the post text, especially Galatians 6:8 and generally Galatians 6:8-10. In context and in summary, Galatians 6:7-10 is talking about "If you sow (i.e., your works) to the flesh, you will reap corruption and if you sow to the spirit, you will reap eternal things". I am not here to defend Abel Damina but the scriptures. I may not agree with him on all that he teaches but I will also not agree with you on the critique you have made on his message especially the scriptures that you have used. I believe strongly that believers should give money for the work of the gospel even if it is our last penny. I sincerely do. However, I also believe that how we give to support the gospel should be on sound doctrine. I am not sure there is any doctrine on financial "sowing and reaping" in the gospel of Christ.
Thank you my brother on your response. Let us examine 2Cor 9 that was quoted it is obviously money. The position and prayers of Paul concerning the Phillipian Church in Phi 4:19 was on money. The Gal 6 talks about different seeds including works and money/materials. And a good unbiased reading will bring that out. For your help I have quoted it here under Frome TPT, verse 6 in particular focuses on the money not works part sir. [6] We Harvest What We Plant And those who are taught the Word must share all good things with their teacher; a sharing of wealth takes place between them. For your information some of us do not make assertions that are not founded in the scriptures. It is very clear all through the scriptures that seed is sometimes used for money no matter how you try to avoid it. Let us maintain an open mind and not be closed minded because of those who abused it.
@@oduyeboolusegunfulfilment Sir can you read from the YLT. The 'a sharing of wealth takes place between them.' is not part of the original text same as you quotation from 2Cor. 9:9-10(the brackets indicates that it is not found in the original text which you did not highlight just to prove your point).
You might want to have , the modern English translation of the bible. it will bring greater meaning to you... read that same 2 Corinthians again you will find when it comes to some conversations , one uses an analogy to help elaborate on what is being said.... some things Dr Abel says I don't agree with because I've read the place myself, his presentation feels like coming against others, I just hope he do better... picking one verse from here and there to preach is very dangerous its like one picking leaves to prepare agbo or poison. let's go back to book by book teachings even if we have not bebeen taught. weldone sir
