Update on my hunt to figure out what he did. First thing I learned is it’s not a “sprocket” it’s a “gear” maybe a spur gear. Even though both are similar a gear meshes together unlike a sprocket that’s why he’s able to turn the steering because the “gears” interlock and causes force. I’ll be back when i figure out more.
I had the idea of using a trolling motor to power a paddle boat myself (bc i am cheap and i dont like a work out when im trying to enjoy being on the water) your video makes it alot easier of a task than most of the vids i have watched
what size sprockets did you use? where did you buy the sprockets? I want to copy this wonderful idea on my pedal boat. I'm almost done just need to do what you did but need more info. Plus how is the sprocket mounted where the rudder use to be video kind of dark please help me. thank you. your idea rocks.
