Awesome. Question. Are all windshields made the same? My oem windshield is covered in rock specs and rock chips. I don't know if the quality of the oem glass is weak. Do you know if I buy an aftermarket windshield, the glass will be stronger to rock chips or rock specks on front windshield glass?

Because it is cheaper than replacing. Also the resin is structurally strong. Making the fix worth it, but the damage should look 85% better than before. Always put a white paper inside the windshield while looking at it on the outside. The black in the chip or crack is air in the windshield. There are two sheets of glass. The inside is filled with PVB which holds them together. I hope that helps.

So, looks like you decided midway not to remove the interior panel. Just too much of a pain? Also, from another video replacing the window motor, it seems like it would only be necessary to remove the actuating cables (door handle and…?) if you want the panel out of the way for extra workspace. Think it could be done without disconnecting them? I’m about to do this on my sis’ van and would appreciate anyone’s input. Thanks.

I would love to learn this tint job from u. I have bought a Nissan Altima 2009 and previous owner must have tried putting on their own tint that bubbled. Whats special on this contractors trash bag ? Can i use a residential trash bag for my rear defrost window to get tint off ?

I cant believe how easy this was, my crusty 23 year old tint came right off using this method. I used windex since thats all i had laying around. I tried just a heat gun and picking it off but it wouldn't budge. Thank ypu for sharing this hack 👍

What's the solution you used? How'd you start peeling at the corner? By pulling on the bag first? By using your finger nail on the actual old tint?
