hi! Thanks for the video ! After installing Oracle Client, my date format was corrupted. I am getting "not a valid month" error in my SQL query in Excel. How can I change the date format of ocmt?
My database is 50tb, archive generation is 20tb per day. If I have to bring back my primary after a week, what would be the flashback space requirement?
Hi Bro, I have doubt, i have EBS 12.2 with 19c (CDB, PDB) database. I need to make this primary & standby. I have new standby server. In standby server do we need to copy Primary database Oracle_Home? and how they create CDB & PDB in Secondary Server? Please explain me.
Hi, First install the same version of oracle database on standby server then take rman backup on primary db once it's completed then restore it on standby but before restoration set Datagurd parameters on primary db, check Datagurd video on our channel

Hello, I tried just following your steps, but when I run $ORACLE_HOME/perl/bin/perl catctl.pl catupgrd.sql, received : ERROR at line 13: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist SQL> SELECT TO_NUMBER('NONUPGRADED_TABLEDATA') FROM SYS.V$INSTANCE 2 ; SELECT TO_NUMBER('NONUPGRADED_TABLEDATA') FROM SYS.V$INSTANCE * ERROR at line 1: ORA-01722: invalid number In my original database I did not run any pre-upgrade script, should I run it before performing the backup to correct these errors?
@@ocptechnology Hello, I'm a bit of a detail oriented person, so I should run the scripts on the source base and then proceed with the backup to restore on the destination base, right?
One more thing about the connection. I modified the tnsnames.ora file by adding the service FREEPDB1 (listener.ora about FREEPDB1 was also added the difference from yours is that when started, bother services, FREE and FREEPDB1 are UNKNOWN instead of READY). When login sys as sysdba@FREEPDB1, I had the ORA-01017 error.
I have the Listener start problem. There is no error messages. However, when started, yours are "READY" whereas mine is "UNKNOWN". Do you know what is the problem of causing that?
Good day Shripal, Thank you for this helpful video2, I wanted to ask. what if my CDB is on a different server does that mean i have to copy the database files in one location on the CDB , in order to specify the locations in COPY FILE_NAME_CONVERT parameters? In my case i do have the NON CDB datafiles in different locations as well.
@@ocptechnology Thank you. I have the same scenario wherein My non cdb is on anther box and new CDB (PDB) is on another. Should we take the cold backup after creating the xml to new server and then convert?
Namaste, Shripal. I still do not get it, are you using two DISTINCT Oracle database instances (but with same major/minor version) or you somehow do convert Non-CDB to CDB using same Oracle instance? thanks
