Recalls happens to every single brand, its justs facts. Traded my 2008 Tundra last year after 15+ yers of ownership for a 2023 Palisade AWD. Already has 29K miles, mostly from driving between Phoenix, Vegas and SD for work related commutes. My tundra had over 2 dozen recalls during ownership. Overall, I'm very impressed with my first Hyundai purchase. Telluride and Palisade are virtually the same vehicle. Have not had a single issue with mine so far, not even the engine oil issue your mentioned. So I'm thinking either you have a very heavy foot and likes to drive your telluride to the limit on A regular basis or you are full of it, or you are one of those picking every little issue.
well my 2021 EX had some similar recalls but that is actually a positive thing-kia trying to fix issues. otherwise, none of the other problems. never overheated, no belt noises, nothing. love the dependability actually! drove all over country already, no issues. the only problem i see-front airflow wasnt thought through, throws stones into windshield.
Was the AC on when overheating? If not, turning on the AC might trigger the radiator fans to come on, and cool down the engine. Of course the fan(s) should have already been on, but having a second switch forcing them on might get them on. Anything to not overheat until it can be fixed.
Wow. Very sorry to hear about all of these issues. Car looks great and drives great. Problem is that the more tech (especially new tech) the more that can and often does malfunction.
I had the 2019 Sorento sx. V6. Brand new. Build quality was just not there. The driver seat leather/trimmings started cracking. The paint by the windshield had started to have bubbles. The transmission was jerky . I will probably never buy another Korean car.
Owned a KIA Luv’d it for the same reasons & disliked it for same. Conclusion: SAME , I would even go as far as say do NOT buy if you can afford better.
OK. So, let's review: KIA has addressed all POTENTIAL issues by announcing recalls where they will voluntarily apply a fix at no cost to the customer. The pinhead in the video has listed the known issues, yet he has experienced none of them. So, in summary the vehicle is totally fine and the guy who made the video is a total a-hole. Thank you.
All manufacturers are having a myriad of recalls. For several reasons that I won't go into. I hear you, on the Explorer. I do own an 8 year old Ford. One recall. Only routine maintenance. So far, so good. Fingers crossed.
My brother got 2022 kia soul new after his old soul was damaged from storm. He got oil chnage from dealership and several months later not even 1000 miles. He called me this engine was making noise. I heared over phone and i knew its sounded like no oil. I had him come to my house. I added 3 quarts of oil. Told him to contact dealership. They give him brand new engine. They had issues with oil consumption.
This is the problem, when you're younger you can fully enjoy the manual, the visceral feel, and hard ride. So have your sports cars early in life. I was stretched financially but my memories are priceless. You have more means when you're older but the body is unforgiving. I'm glad I spent my money on these wonderful machines while I could still easily drive them. In your 60s, your comfort maybe more important than the joy of driving a Porsche. My first was a 1972 914 and my last a 2012 911s. Even with pdk and comfort seats, I still struggled to get in and out of it, and the drive was pulverizing.
Be thankful they are doing the recalls instead leaving you holding the bag. Instead of complaining, just trade it in for something else for heaven’s sake if you are unhappy.
For all the environmental rules regarding emissions, it's hard to believe that maximum oil consumption hasn't been regulated as part of emissions warranties. It puts both the metal compounds in the oil and those wearing from the engine into the air, as well as oil not burning as completely as the gasoline. 1 quart per 1000 miles is ridiculous.
Know what is more unsafe than digging your phone out? Having it in your hand to begin with. So basically you just want us to know you have 2 Porsches'. Your "complaints" make you sound like a whiner 🙄 BTW, who compares a KIA to a Porsche? Great video 👏
I have made over $700 k from a $ 100k capital so far since I decided to make and see changes in my money, I have had a succession of payouts from trading, I recently diversified some into dividend paying Stocks and for long term hold, I should buy my Porsche soon
You have the government to blame for these new engines burning oil because everything‘s gotta be so much more fuel efficient these low tension piston rings reduce friction in the engine, which does get better gas mileage but unfortunately, the downside is now you burn oil
We have a 2020 Telluride with nearly 200,000 km and it has been a dream without any issues other than routine maintenance like brake pads. The other car in our lives is a Lexus and it has had twice a many recalls and one that now has our car on "don't drive until repaired". We also understand both Lexus and Toyota had a "stop build" on Grand Highlander and TX due to safey issue. Candidly, we have been far happier with our Kia than our Lexus and the service we have had has been far more timely and lots of support if they need the vehicle more than an hour or two..Lexus is hit or miss. Our experience does not match yours at all.
@@gmanbaz Uh, they just a had stop build/stop sell order on all TX (and Grand Highlanders with Toyota) for a massive safety issue/recall. They are also dealing with a valve issue that is about to blow up on them with a major recall.
How do you know it is 'burning oil?' Oil can be used excessively for several reasons.....I doubt you know that it is actually burning oil. Also...I have not seen such a dirty engine bay in my life for 1 years' ownership.....it looks like someone threw an open bag of cement mix over it. Anyone that waits to almost 8,000 miles to change their oil knows nothing about car engines....regardless of what the mfr suggests....the mfr also recommends to change the oil if you drive in more dirty/dusty/Sandy conditions....
6.9 quarts? WOW! They are planning ahead for 2 to 3 quarts of oil consumption between oil changes. I'm used to 4.5 quart oil changes. My Mustang calls for 6 quarts. I empty the 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and call it good enough. Later will give it another half quart. Won't go past 5000 miles.
No mechanical or oil consumption issues with our 2022 SX Prestige Nightfall edition with 32k miles. We have noticed the discoloration/fading of the window trim and we’ve had all the recalls addressed. Other than that, we’re super pleased with ours. It’s comfortable, smooth, and powerful.
The recalls have been frustrating.... but overall, ours has been great: no oil consumption (17k miles on a 2024), no engine overheating... everything for the most part has been great. Smooth riding, and just a great ride. I had a 2014 Toyota Highlander Limited that had all 4 power door lock actuators fail just after the 36k warranty ran out.... Toyota is vicious and wouldn't help out with a goodwill financial hand on it.... basically told me to go screw myself. I made an exhaustive step by step video on RU-vid and replaced them all myself at tremendous savings....and wanted to get it out there to screw Toyota dealers out of hundreds of thousands of dealer service work for this COMMON TOYOTA PROBLEM. Last I checked, I had about 74 thousand views - that tells you how many people had issues with this .... Every brand has their issues - sorry to tell you. Get a Toyota Highlander that only comes with a 4 cylinder turbo now -V6 engines are no longer offered... and let me know how those last long term verses Kia's naturally aspirated V6..... you may change your mind. And - KIA will actually cover most of these issues for WAY longer than other manufacturers.... at least they don't leave you with your pockets hanging out empty.
