Hello sir, You made the comment that you made your boat.... I am looking for this exact set up for my own self inflicted adventure. Any thoughts or recommendations would be super helpful!
To the record executive/R2AK race boss/Media team that made all this great music possible for this year's R2ak, I only have one question: Where can I buy the album?
Congratulations on your accomplishment and finishing the passage to Alaska. I had my doubts if this could be done safely on this boat, but you were able to cross the finish line with a smile.
This one goes out to Teams Fairly Fleabag, Mr X, The Spirit of Nevetz, Victory Oar Duff and Outtaspace! You are our heros, nice and steady and we'll see you in Ketchikan! Can't wait.
I'd say Hobie owes you a debt of gratitude... not only for your finish, but for the awesome video you put together to show everyone. So glad you got some usable sporks for the effort!
I am totally amazed by their skill, attitude and determination!!! Great video!! Check out the R2AK podcast featuring them, truly a dynamic duo for sure!!
Way to go team Tips UP! Finishing on a Hobie 16 takes some serious seamanship and love the name-- very appropriate for a Hobie 16. Great video footage too-- brought back some good and bad memories of sailing a larger beach cat in 2015 (dnf) and 2016. Congrats for being first in the "20' and under" side bet. Enjoy that set of tactical titanium sporks!
