They certainly weren’t the only lure in my teenage toolbox, but I use the heck out of them and caught lots of fish on them. I can’t say I remember catching big fish, but I definitely caught lots of bass.
I caught a 68 inch northern pike with a flying lure. I believe it was a Minnesota state record. But it was caught 3 weeks before opening weekend for pike. Very disappointed i let her go. It was on the Mississippi river, at the entrance of the Elk River.
