Hi! I'm a vintage doll restorer. I've been restoring vintage dolls for many years now. I just recently decided to start videoing my technique and style. Browse through my videos and you'll see many before and after's! Thanks for stopping by!
For a quick fix, I have used the tiny Barbie rubber bands to keep the arms from being swingy! Push the bands in with a small tool! Love your method too!
Oh My God! You healed her! I always felt bad for her, like she coould be pretty but no one would take the time to help her so she just sat on the sidelines and was never asked to the dance. I can't believe you took the time to reroot her hair! It made all the difference. 👍I vote yes for painting the nails. And I am not trying be a Debbie Downer buuuuut personally I think there is a better ensemble out there for her. And for a future project I vote for a Penny Brite doll. Thank you making the video. You scratched a long standing old itch for me😊
Thank you for your video, does the green ear happened because of a certain metal? Are there no metal safe? Gold, Silver, Stainless steal? Just asking for a friend, her name is Barbie.
I tested this on a standard 1999 belly button barbie. It does not work on these bodies in case anyone is curious. It melted the plastic of the armpit area. Inside is different from a vintage barbie... there's a mechanism inside the joint so this method will not work on belly button barbie
I do have questions for you about your prices. How much do you charge for; 1 A full head reroot? 2. Reroot eyelashes (with open plug holes)? 3. Rooting eyelashes in non-existent rooted eyelashes? 4. Painting eyes? Your beautifying dolls is so ADDICTING! 🤯🤪😍
I have learned so much from your channel! I have binged watched all of your videos. Because of you, I re-rooted my 1975 Ballerina Barbie that I butchered when I was 11, and I fixed the makeup of a forgotten Midge and even gave her rooted eyelashes. The re-root turned out good for a first try but not as awesome as yours. I quickly realized you make it look easy because you’re so talented! Thanks for all the educational videos that are so inspiring and helpful and fun! 😊💖
Great job. Who would have known that the bleach works with lightening the skin??? Well done good match!!! You'd have to be neurotic to see any glaring difference!!🎉❤😮😊
Btw, yes repair those legs and have them ready for another doll. Who knows? You might find the perfect medium to repair those chew marks too! If anybody can, you can!
Welcome back! This is so cool, I didn't know you could try this. I have a beautiful Francie that I've spent time colour correcting on her face and arms, but her hips are broken and her feet are chewed. Would this method work on Malibu Francie too?
Welcome back!! I've missed your videos so much, but they were one of the reasons I got into restoring dolls. You did an amazing job as always 💜💜Finally a use for the Malibus 😂
Nice to see you back April!! I missed your videos 😄 Did you say you warmed up the Malibu Barbie before taking the legs off? American girl Barbie looks fantastic btw:) I never would’ve thought to use bleach.
Thanks for the great info and demonstration. I think yes, replace broken parts. I do want to thank you also because I created my own Color Magic barbie after watching your videos. I bought an appropriate body for her…with a broken hip!
Thank you! 😊 no need to change the bleach. Ive never needed more than 24 hrs and I bleached legs a few times now. It’s sooo rewarding seeing new legs for the AG dolls!
