Pleasure to see you Invisible friend You think you can see me? It's only pretend It's funny, cause no one's Been keen to my kind So maybe the truth is _You're losing your mind_ Pleasure to be here Impossible friend So long as you see me I'll stay till the end I'm meeting myself, too With every day Promise to make sure _You don't look away_ Who are you? Who am I? What are you? What am I? Look at me Are you blind? Look again Nevermind Are you there? Stay away There you are Stay away Here I am Stay away! Come with me Take it away... Tell me your secrets In case you forget And I'll be your backup Your faithful-est pet As cute as a kitten As smart as a crow Got nothing to hide here _And nothing to show_ Turn off your worries And leave it to chance We'll turn up the white noise And go for a dance Your favorite tune? It's my favorite, too You follow my lead _I'm following you_ Give in to nonsense There's nothing to fight I step with my left foot And turn to the right So what's coming next? That's a total surprise Join into the game now Look straight in my _F A C E_ Who are you? Who am I? What are you? What am I? Look at me Are you blind? Look again Nevermind Are you there? Stay away There you are Stay away Here I am Stay away! Here I go No, I mean _Stay..._ We may not have known each other all that clearly Really, will it matter if we drift apart? For as long as we can feign another moment loving dearly I don't think I'll ever need to see into your heart Memories are burning to a fading ember Fragments of the feelings that were up to me I'm sick of feeling sorry, sick of trying to remember Cut my heavy conscience - I am ready to be free! I'm a little figment of imagination Nothing but the sort of person no-one knows For a face to be forgotten is the fate of every face And every pretty smile withers over like a rose Then again, with wide and happy eyes, you see me Play with me again upon another day And believing you believe in me is making me believe that M̵̫͉̎̒ā̸̬̊y̴͚͎̆b̸̛̭̉e̷̜̽ͅ ̶̙̊ͅḬ̶̅͋'̷̟̺͝m̵̹̍ ̶͇̔a̴̲̣͆̍ ̴̼̯̚t̴̠͚͒h̵̜̰̔̒i̸̭̰͗n̴̍͗ͅͅĝ̷̨ ̷͚͒̔t̴͓́h̶͎̠̽ä̶͍̙́t̷͍̩͛ ̴̖̼̔d̵͎̓̔o̴̟̱̐̾e̶̼͗ṡ̵̱̳n̷̙̮̍'̶̠̭͑ṫ̶̡̆ ̶͌͝ͅḩ̴̿ȁ̸̙̜v̸̛̼̲̐e̴̖͐̒ ̸̖̗̀ẗ̴͓̗́̀o̵̥̞̐̾ ̵̘̂f̶̲͒a̷͚͇̿ḍ̷̩͌ḛ̵̏ ̷̣̃̀a̴͕̝̕w̷̖͈̅ȃ̶̼͜y̷̹̏͜.̵̪̈́̉.̸̧̢́.̵̮͈̈͌ Pleasure to see you I've waited a while You look like a grownup But still like a child Don't worry about me I think I've been fine I remember your face _You remember mine?_ What's with the mood now? To be fair, what was ky expecting? "Oh, I'm gonna send my son to travel with the closest thing to the incarnation of Satan." I know he was too busy to take care of sin and that gears need a different parental approach than humans. But he can't expect Sol to raise a well mannered child. Though I agree on the sugar water part with ky.
"I figured I'd do a nice, rhythmical Japanese piece as rehabilitation. The rehabilitation failed. (lol) But I really like the song. (^^) I guess I just really like this kind of song (since I can only make this kind)." - Zun
"It's a very short song. Still, it's because I wanted to match what was happening on the screen with the music. In other words, it means there isn't much staff (so the staff roll is short). (lol)" - Zun
"It sounds like all my other good endings, but it's the bad ending. (lol) Well, I guess that's just because all my good ending themes were kind of dark." - Zun
PMD version comment: "This is the original version of 'Grimoire of Alice' from Mystic Square. This is easy to understand(^^; It is a song that is played in the game and is intended to avoid the extra barrage in a rhythmic manner. It is a song to avoid extra barrage in a rhythmic way. I haven't created many simple songs like this recently (lie) Well then, let's meet again in the next song, shall we?" - ZUN
"Compared to my other extra stage boss themes, this has heavy emphasis on the rhythm. No matter how cheap their attacks are, emerge victorious with a superior groove (^^;;" - Zun
PMD version comment: "This is the original version of 'Alice in Wonderland' from Mystic Square. I tried to create a fairy tale techno-style with the image of a piano piece. I'm not sure if I'm aiming for something that I don't understand(^^;; The reason why I chose this kind of music for the stage is because I really wanted to make it (laugh) Fairy tale techno. Well then, let's meet again in the next song, shall we?" - ZUN
"Fairy tale-esque and cool is what I was going for this time. Well, it's probably not fairy tale-esque, but it's pretty coooool. You have to dodge lots of bullets in the game, so you probably can't listen to it too closely, though. (lol)" - Zun
PMD version comment: "This is the original version of 'Legendary Illusion ~ Infinite Being' from Mystic Square. This melody (except for the chorus) came naturally when I put my hand on the keyboard. Actually, I don't remember having any difficulties at all in the beginning. I think it was difficult from the middle of the song, though (^^;;;) Shinki herself was difficult work in which her attacks changed two or three times (due to difficulty adjustment). How about the extravagant attack before the final stage, where you are hardly allowed to move? It is quite frustrating when you miss at that point (laugh) Well then, let's meet again in the next song, shall we?" - ZUN
"This is the last boss theme. Of course, I really put a lot of spirit into it. I was trying to make a song that had the right blend of coolness and cuteness. The main melody is pretty easy to remember, so it has a nice feel to it. Overall, I'm pretty fond of it." - Zun
"The stage is just there for you to collect some items before the final boss, so it's pretty short. Actually, I wanted to try to do this with just a heartbeat sound, but this isn't that kind of game (lol)" - Zun
PMD version comment: "This is the original version of 'Doll of Misery' from Mystic Square. I tried my best to make this song sad and intense. I think this song is the saddest among all my songs. I feel like it would be sadder if I didn't use an easy slow tempo or something. I want to say to the erotic music industry (laugh) Well then, let's meet again in the next song, shall we?" - ZUN
"This was a tough one. It has the most complex chord progressions I've ever done. I think this is the first song I worked all day to finish. I wanted to make this song pretty dark, so this is how it came out. I like this song a lot, so I hope you'll listen to it." - Zun
PMD version comment: "This is the original version of 'the Last Judgement' from Mystic Square. It's a cool looking song. As I wrote somewhere else, I wanted to make Yumeko and Shinki. I wanted to make this song visual-kei as well. This song itself is the original theme of Mai... (laugh) By the way, I don't think there is anything visual about the song. I wonder what I meant by 'visual-kei' song (laugh) Well then, let's meet again in the next song, shall we?" - ZUN
PMD version comment: "This is the original version of 'Treacherous Maiden ~ Judas Kiss' from Mystic Square. The rhythm of the song changes often, so the groove may be more like that of 'Crimson Maiden ~ Crimson Dead!!' Mai's spinning laser is my favorite. I had intended to make this one from the beginning. I wonder if I should have made it harder (laugh). Well then, let's meet again in the next song, shall we?" - ZUN
"Compared to 'Crimson Maiden', this one is a bit more musical. I figured she should be strong, since it's the 4th stage, so I gave this song that type of feel. (Which is?)" - Zun
PMD version comment: "This is the original version of 'Crimson Maiden ~ Crimson Dead!!' from Mystic Square. It is a short song. The main melody is almost nonexistent, but I managed to create a boss atmosphere. The fast sound alone creates the atmosphere of a boss. Personally, I think Yuki's accelerated scattering bullets match with this song and create a good atmosphere (^^;; Well then, let's meet again in the next song, shall we?" - ZUN
"The melody somehow feels like something out of SoEW. All I can really remember is before I knew it, the song was done. It's kind of like something from my older games." - Zun
PMD version comment: "This is the original version of 'Forbidden Magic' from Mystic Square. The reason why it seems quiet for a boss song is because we have another boss battle after this. I feel the bass is weak compared to the arranged version. I always make it with headphones on. When I take them off, the music suddenly sounds different. It's hard to know what I should use as a standard. Well then, let's meet again in the next song, shall we?" - ZUN
"I was going for something simple, yet cool in this song. This song is closest to the songs from the last game. It was really easy to finish compared to 'Maple Wise'. (^^;;" - Zun
"This ended up a pretty calm song all of a sudden. (Really, though?) This was a pretty hard song to make. But for what it's worth, it turned out pretty cool. (Didn't it?)" - Zun
"If you listen carefully (?), it's pretty dark. ^^; I think the third stage boss of a shmup is a significant turning point, so I put some extra spirit into the making of this song. (Well, it's not like I was slacking on the other songs or anything... (^^;;;)" - Zun
PMD version comment: "This is the original version of 'Romantic Children' from Mystic Square. I thought I created it with the theme of Makai. I don't remember much about it, but I put out the midboss when it gets the most intense, I remember that the song became too long and the midboss came later... (^^;; Well then, let's meet again in the next song, shall we?" - ZUN
"It has a pretty good Makai feel about it, doesn't it? The stage 1, 2 and 3 songs all turned out with a real sense of speed. Since it's Makai, I think it feels more western... hmm." - Zun
