Congrats, man! I was in the same boat...wanted one for EVER! FINALLY quit dragging my feet and got mine a couple years ago...pearl white with a cream interior '16, FBO, flex fuel, upgraded turbos, the works...I'm only the second owner!...it didn't even have 12k miles when I got it! Love it to death. Congrats!!
There’s a refresh coming in the next few months so I’m being patient. The change I want to see is in the PCM though I don’t know if PCM changes are even planned. As for the 911 looking better than a 718 GTS…. I’m not so sure about that - I know what you’re saying but I think it’s just because we associate the 911 with expensive - but the 718 has beautiful lines and with the six cylinder it’s a beautiful car . I like the 911 but the 718 is equally as nice and in some way better. I will be getting a Porsche in August to celebrate a big birthday coming up for me and I’m on the fence about which to get. Financially either is doable fortunately.
If you can stretch the budget and get a 17+ 100% go for it. However the early year cars are a good bit less so you have to weigh out what is the most important to you.
I looked at this GTR. I work around the corner from it. They had it forever on the showroom floor. It was super overpriced when they first listed it. Super clean. Glad you got it.
I was "worried" when you did not want to keep the stock rims on the car. But those rims fit the car great and look sick!!! Well done! If you don't mind sharing, how much were the set of rims? Did you buy them online or local?
Thank you! I have always been a “OEM Plus” look kind of guy and didn’t want to go with anything that sticks out too much. I bought them local. They were roughly $4800 with a brand new set of Pirelli P4’s.

I don't know you but I am proud of you. My son is turning 25 in Sept. So this vid reminded me of him. He told me, Dad, I could buy a GTR now if I wanted too. lol. I said I know son, it's our dream car. But be patient and we'll eventually own one! He wants to buy a condo first. I bought one of my dream cars after I almost died of covid in April 2020. I bought a 2017 GT350. I was going to wait until I retire, but we are NOT guaranteed tomorrow! So I bought it with ZERO regrets! So congrats to you and your awesome car!!

wow many have been buying GTRs lately and have been making their own videos of taking the delivery. Im hoping to buy a 2014-2015 within the next year. If finances allow, Ill be looking at the 2016 and up(but probably will stop at 2016 since prices are still extremely high).
