This is the place where I can play with art supplies, have fun and hopefully learn something along the way! If you like art and chatty videos then you should like my channel! I'll have a new video out for you every Sunday. So subscribe and stay tuned!
Nice vid. Kind of crazy that Choosing Keeping are still getting away with selling repackaged standard grade gansai paints such as Kissho and Sumimundo brands at 5 times the cost of Amazon Japan and other domestic Japanese retailers. It's like charging premium prices for Derwent or Winsor & Newton to people unfamiliar with common UK products. The packaging is nice but saving money is nicer lol
i recently got into cute pens/mechanical pencils like these and this just showed up in my recommendations lol (i think i have spent about $100 or even more since i got into it last month 😭) i only stick to buying brands with good ink and mech pencil tech tho, usually pilot, uni, zebra, tombow, pentel brands that have limited collections my favorite pen to use right now is the pilot dr. grip with kutusita nyanko (san-x character) design and a 0.5mm acro ink refill and i love writing with it
Sherherds Inc. On Gillingham Street near Victoria Station is also fantastic for stationery items, papers, and bookbinding supplies. It's such a beautiful shop!
Loving these recommendations, thank you! I also recommend a place called Cornelissons, just near the British Museum which is like a cross between an art shop and Ollivander’s wand shop. Old Victorian style shelves and full of art treasures.
Hi Jodi … Just came across your channel and am obsessed! Would it be possible to do a beginners must haves video? I would love to get my teenagers journaling but don’t want get carried away. Thanks ❤
My favorite part “only serious stickers organization here! “😅 Love the video , very useful and fun. Thank you :) PD: where did you buy those plastic boxes?
I'm Belgian. This made me want to visit London so much...And I hope to do so very soon. Maybe I should do an art haul in Bruges. Or a visit to the many artists there. Bye.
That box is perfect for journaling on the go. You could easily pop a few stickers, wrap a length of washi tape around cardstock, or even put an extra fountain pen cartridge in there!
I really enjoyed your video. Lovely gifts. I’m so happy you received a Kaweco. It will most likely be the first of many. I have 9. And I love them all.
I hv always loved stationeries, scrapbooking and journalling. But when time was bad, I was given the options to throw away my beloved stuffs including my customised pages for my smashbooks/scrapbook journals so to create space. Or I can keep my stuffs without any working space to sit and work on my scrapbooking. I had to throw away all my favourite novels, my collections of figurines, Precious Thoughts… I own nothing really. Nothing is really mine. When I see your video, I wished I could show off mine 😢
Great video! Well apart from the bit where you scared me by saying Choosing Keeping doesn’t do mail order. I thought they’d stopped doing it but they still do! Although they now have a £10 minimum, which is fine by me, my previous orders have all been over that amount. 😂
I do _love_ an art supply store! I'd love to have one of those large paper cutters. I love little tins, too. There's just something about them. Thank you so much!
I also recommend Postmark (I think you spotlighted that before?!) I found a store in London Bridge station. It has a lovely selection of Washi tape - I bought one that looks like petals of a cherry blossom. It also has a lovely selection of journals and pencils.
Hey Abbey! Absolutely had to show off your book 😉. So glad you enjoyed my video. Definitely think you'd love Present & Correct, it's a cute little store!👍😄
? I order from Choosing Keeping all the time. I'm in the US and they DO sell online. And everything comes beautifully wrapped in their handmade papers, even the outer shipping box. No VAT on orders under 800 USD. And they ship to most countries.
Ahh Missing london so much! Choosing Keeping has such a nice vibe and I'm dying to check out their physical store. Have always wanted to order from their online store but it's quite expensive to ship to where I live. Definitely up there on my bucket list! :)
What a funny coincidence, those are the same stores I visited over two visits to London in the last couple weeks (though Cass Arts was closed by the time we got there, whoops!). I still fantasize about the pan of lapis lazuli at Choosing Keeping and the retro colour-themed watercolour sets...
Yes they do ship online. I couldn't find the shipping information on the website but if you add to the basket you'll see the shipping options. Although I also prefer going in store and having a look around. 😄❤
