Might be rare in California, but not anywhere else. The Magnum V10 is a cast iron block and designed for low end torque. The Viper engine is an aluminum block and designed for horsepower. Only trucks with the Viper engine are the R/T 10 1/2 tons.
I've only seen one crew cab and it was a '79 2wd but it wasn't in that great of shape. Most of what I've seen around here are either single cab short beds or extended cab longbeds as well. I might be getting a '73 F-250 Custom single cab in a few days. Hopefully, it works out pretty well and hopefully, the truck runs pretty well.
Look at you with your big fat pick up truck on your big nice house and a big driveway probably wear a hat too and probably by Milwaukee tools at Home Depot
Yes the manual trans is harder to find and especially in that shape. But at the end of the day a v10 in a 2500 or 3500 are not that hard to find lots for sale
I’m not buying the “all original interior” sales pitch, even if it was bought and parked in a climate controlled garage for its entire life it would be in much worse shape than that. And let’s be honest, does it have a 400 or a 351m?
agrteed, been woking on these since 73 and had over 100 of em, in AZ.400 or 351m, either is under powered in that beast, Gotta have a 460 or it gonna be a dog. gotd 350 gears and tall tires by the sound of the finally 'nail it and rap it out at the end. plus they got the timing at 4-6 degrees....dog to the max
Nice find, I tried to buy this truck from the original owner in California but it was too much $. I had to settle and I bought a 1 owner 95 5speed with 59,000 miles. I don't drive it much, but it sure is fun whenever I do.
