This HP was slightly a bit different but generally all the same...the rear hinge covers @ 2:00 mark on mine I had to remove the glued rubber feet first to find a screw underneath them then pop the covers off then remove the other HIDDEN screw!
When removing the keyboard, don't do this. There's a small clip that moves out of the way if you slide. The first on the left you slide left to disengage, all the others you slide right on.
Removed all the screws and was halfway there but had to stop because the clips seemed delicate, it wasnt as easy to detach and i was afraid of permanently damaging the plastic body
This 9 year old model I am fixing has suffered from plastic fatigue as I was trying to get the back off. You gave me the answer. Push the base backwards to release it from the rear. Thank you.

**NOTE** 2 items applicable to the Pavilion 15-p167 laptop: 1) The hinge cover does not pop out as shown. It has a screw under each friction pad that needs to be popped off first to reveal the screw. Once removed, the hinge cover comes off as shown. Then you can remove the screws in the next step. 2) There is one last disc-shaped "mini" screw that prevents removing the top cover from the base and is found by removing the CD/DVD tray cover.

well.. your circuits might be a bit silly.. just because yours is fake doesn't mean they are all fake.. but I'm starting to believe youtybe is being run down videos like this.. why fake it and say it isn't real? why not really get into circuitry and old world (tesla.. stubblefield.. steinmetz) circuits.. or even hutchison crystal cells or similar.. æther is reality and free energy is as well.. your video is just another misleading video in this wrenching tournaquet of poor "free energy" information and demonstrations
i need to replace the palmrest do i really have to dismantle everything like this? can i not just take the inside out with it all attached then screw it to the new palmrest?
Nope, not "any" HP series 15. My hinge covers do not pop off, and they have rubber feet in them that were concealing screws. Worse, HP put a secondary cover under the foot, since when I tried to pop one off it was not moving at all like yours so I decided to pull one of the feet out and there was no hole. I decided it was just stuck so I pulled hard on it and it broke revealing the screw that was holding it. I managed to dig the little plastic disc out to get to the screw in the second one, but now I have a broken hinge cover that also served as a foot for the laptop. I'll never be able to travel with without fear of losing it and it will wobble on the table without it.
Denis, your video saved my sanity yesterday. Even though my HP laptop is a completely different model, the bottom cover is exactly the same as this one. I had searched in vain for an explanation of where all the hidden (to me) screws are located. Thanks to you, I successfully replaced the fan, and everything is humming along nicely. Next step: replace the thermal paste. But now I won't be intimidated.
