Mike, good call! I use the GoPro 360 and was really wondering about the Insta360 camera. This video looks really good! Plus you have it in the truck! Can't wait to see what it looks like going down the track. Not sure if there is an external mic input for it? If so might think about getting a microphone so we can here you as well.
@earleholt4380 Just trying to do different things to see what works! I've bought me a new camera, I thinks it's really going to help out. I'll be using it this weekend at the CDRA Bracket Finals.
Mike enjoy your videos, I have a question does your truck have both a mechanical and electric fuel pump? I see you flip the switch that says fuel pump before your run then you switch it off on the turn off and then switch it back on when your on the return road? Keep up the videos!
@randyrichey6931 Thanks Randy. It's just n electric pump. A long time ago, I had a sunk float at a 2 day race and it became a habit. Just part of my routine now, silly bracket racer stuff!
I had a delay box go bad one time. I would add .005, it would add .030. I would take .005 out, it would pull .030. It took me forever to figure out what was going on.
You weren't the only one struggling that weekend boss. Good job on the videos! And yes, the rollout at Centerville is a definite rhythm breaker for sure. Especially if you're swapping feet.
@toddcook5416 Thanks for subscribing! It's all custom built. It's tucked in tighter than most you see. A lot of people think the truck doesn't have a cage in it at first. Glad you are enjoying the videos!
Love the new view angle when you're in the left lane. Can see the tree and your opponent. Your truck is so consistent! Great combo. Congrats on your runner-up!
Nice job! That's tuff to do without a throttle stop. One year I tried running some Super Street (7.00/10.90) races with a car that was running low to mid 6.40s/ 10 teens-.20s, without a throttle stop. Practically everyone else in the class was using one. I didnt have much luck.
I hate when the dragsters drive thru the water, halfway to the starting line, back up in to the water, then pull forward half way to the starting line again before starting their burnout. There's no need for them to drag water clear to the starting line. That said, it's tuff when you come out on the wrong side of low double oh MOVs.
Can’t burnout in the water box… have to pull in front of it. We don’t have fenders. But trust me, water is LONG gone by the time I get halfway to the starting line
@BlaesRacing I never pull into the water till the pair in front of me have staged, this gives plenty of time for any left over water to dry. I don't let stuff like that bother me. It's just like when people complain how people stage, that's why they do it, bracket racing is just as much a mind game as it is a numbers game! I look at it like I have to run my entire program correctly before I can worry about the other guy.
Gave the 11.00 index a shot at Hot Summer Nights and Mo-Kan Dragway. Ended up with the win carrying nearly a full second. Good way to work on driving the stripe! Full video to come.
