I bought a GMR bass off Daniel when they where in London. Loved that bass! Had a few more GMRs since and loved every one. Currently on the quest for another! More cats should be playing GMR basses. They should be bigger than they are!
What a feat of engineering. It’s not very attractive but a very talented player will surely enjoy creating unique sounds. Harps and guitars played by a group with six hands and thirty fingers, must surely create more harmonics than one person trying to play three instruments with the limitation of two hands and ten fingers.

I believe this guitar was featured in Guitar Player magazine back in the late 80's or early 90's. She also built a somewhat similar instrument for Pat Metheny, and I think he wanted this particular guitar, but she wouldn't let him have it, so she built the one he has now-there are videos of it here on YT I think. She was the only one building stuff like this for many years. I've only seen one of her guitars live in the flesh, at a guitar show in Dallas, it wasn't for sale, it was on display with other rare, high end guitars. A Collings is like a Squire Affinity by comparison to her stuff.

I was able to examine the snakehead Tele prototype that was sold at Guernsey's auction in the early 90's. That guitar had a sandwich body as well. Another I heard of was what the guy called a "shop bass". This had a 2x4 ish body and was used in the Fender shop to try out different parts on in the 50's.
all you need is Looper and you have a whole orchestra! Am I Trippin or does it sound like that mean guitar that he's playing is strong with the Nashville tuning? That's the high sixth, fifth, and fourth strings of a 12 string guitar with the third, second, and first strings of a regular guitar.
I couldn’t imagine the stress and pressure on that guitar… That’s got to be the most advanced guitar I’ve ever seen! Making it seems like it would be the technological achievement of a career, much appreciation and respect!
